Indeed Cerbs .... a wonderful thing to aim for in one's life.
Never got to see the film. How did it end up ? ... did she succeed on the harmony front ? I've been told she was tone deaf and shouted a lot to no good purpose.

I don't like to get involved in politiking, but I too cast my first vote in the 80's, and it was a vote massively influenced around Defence and the Nuclear deterent.

If Maggie and the Tories hadn't have been in power in '82, the British Citizens of the Falklands would have been abandoned.

No Surrender, indeed.

My favourite film is usually the last decent film that I have seen, "Into the wild" was very very good. Most films are really shite and if they were music would be comparable to S club 7 or the Tweenies LP. I will watch a film if it's good but I am quite able to hit the eject after 20 minutes. My missus will watch any film and I mean any film, even if it is half way through! This winds me up no end, if it is crap I don't even want to watch half of it and if it is decent I want to watch the whole thing without knowing the ending. I would generally rather put some music on than watch telly anyway and going to the pictures is such a trek I can't often be arsed.

This thread has actually developed into something else after page 1. I normally forget about most films shortly after watching them and I annoy my wife intensely when we visit the cinema by how quickly I start peering at my watch.

Given time I suppose I could list a fair few good 'uns but I do have a stock answer to the original question which is...Schindlers List...it's always stuck in my mind. My wife refuses to watch it on the grounds she thinks it's too horrible...sigh.

PS Knecht, Sophies Choice would be in a list if I had to produce one.
