| Titanic is a hard film to beat......a story hung on the bones of a real life tragedy....spiced up with a bit of romance across the class barriers....that was doomed to fail. |

When I was 15, Porkies was a brilliant film. |

| No no no GJ, it was never a brilliant film you just thought it was at 15 because it was about a visit to a place of ill repute. Trust me it was crap. |

| The Wicker Man.
Christopher Lee in a dress leading the sinister May Day precession to make sacrifices to Pagan Gods. Only Edward woodward could have so brilliantly pulled off that role of the straight laced religous policeman stuck on an island with all those eccentric pagans and their debauchery. And the brilliant use of folk music all the way through gave it an even more unsettling feel. |

Agree with you there Freathy, great but disturbing film.Edward Woodward used to live in Calstock, married to Michelle Dotrice-they frequently used to buy stuff from my mums shop in Tavvy, very pleasant couple,no big star shite with them. I've got a shocking weakness for old black and white films, any of the Ealing comedies, but especially the Lavender Hill Mob.Silence of the lambs was pretty darned good,as was se7en.Like a bit of Clint Eastwood from time to time,so many to choose from. |

| For me it is a 'B' movie called Dream House. Low budget Brit horror film, no music leading up to something happening then BANG! Jump like anything out of your seat. To this day I still check behind my seat when I get in the car! _______________________________________ I'm one of the common people so says the wife! What a brilliant film! (But then I love Maggie T anyway)
Still think The Great Escape is a good film.
