| Not so much words as phrases - management speak people have picked up at work and brought into everyday speech. Stuff like 'going forward'. And 'guys' |

| My pet hate is people who say 'this is it' when what they mean is 'yes'. |

| Good job we're all freaks and weirdos who hide behind keyboards and never venture out into the REAL world, isn't it? We'd all be scared to say anything. Innit |

| Aah but Peggy - 'guys' is a real male bonding thing, especially when cajoling action from a bunch of t*****s.
The other word is "massive" when what is meant is important.

And that only underlines my dislike of it being used to address groups of men and women of all ages who simply need to earn a living! |

| I hate hashtag wankers too.
The type who will put a hashtag at the end of every sentence because they've recently started using twitter and think it is cool.

| "Can I get?"
No, you stupid, waste of oxygen, it's "Please may I have?"
And when you have received your item or items you need to close the vocal interaction with "thank you". |

Quite good when you just stare at them uncomprehendingly. "What you looking at?" "I'm still entirely sure." |

| Agreed. The only context in which the phrase 'can I get' should be used is when it's immediately followed by the words 'a witness'. Innit. (Can't believe Pete hasn't flagged that one up yet ) |

| I do apologise for my arrogance in advance, but I do believe that I may have the ultimate example here; the final (bloody irritating) word in a maelstrom of malapropisms.
Wait for it.
Wait for it.
Legend.
Particularly when: a) it is preceded with one of more of the already ghastly & completely redundant adjectives above; eg "an absolute legend" or "what a total legend" &
b) it is used in relation to a Plymouth Argyle player, of moderate but fleeting popularity, whose time with the club only marginally exceeds the length of my post-match drive home.
Can I claim my five pounds?

| I understand that an apostrophe may be missing in the above comment, Jock.

| How about "This moment in time" and the that really annoys me variations on "That's a nice colour green" instead of shade of green I find myself shouting at the tv, I think that's an age thing though |

Eats, shoots & leaves. See? It's been a long day Jon. My early rising son doesn't recognise Sunday as the day for a lie-in. We were even up too early for the hoobs today. Zzzzzzz |
