Egg and cress sarnies on granary. My wife likes mayo in the mix and I like salad cream so we compromise with a half and half mix. Interesting eh.

Tomato & lettuce sandwich with salad cream (bottle empty now so on UK shopping list) elephant ,
apple, banana, some fresh walnuts and 1/2 litre of water. Cool

Tuna Steak with honey & mustard sauce, pots in skins, broad beans & carrots.
Dessert - Apple pie with ice cream & clotted cream.
Pino Grigio as a lubricant.

Slow cooked gammon in honey and mustard sauce, new potatoes, purple broccoli and sugar snap peas. The gammon melted in your mouth.

Don't say anything else about the apprentice, just about to watch it.

Plate pie!! Crikey that brings back memories, my old Ma was much too posh to make pasties, plate pie was much more upmarket. I wonder if you said "plate pie" to anyone under 30, they have a clue what you were talking about.

Edit to add : Brown sauce too...you'm a true believer.

Just returned from prato do dia and feeling rather replete after troughing on; torresmos (piggy bits in nice sauce) and chips, soup (cabbage et al), bread, salad, pudding (fruit salad), half litre wine and coffee. I thought I had had an attack of gluttony till my other half got seconds (oink). Got a rather large doggy bag too Smile
