Effective rear guard action with two banks of four in close formation. Macdonald chasing everything, no idea what the point of feeney is and Walton keeps trying to screw us by passing it to their players. Swindon had a couple of free kick chances and a header or two but nothing to trouble Cole. Weve created no chances bar a long range Walton shot that rebounded before it got anywhere near their goal. Wigs and hats out in force, crowd noisy and mainly insulting Di canio. To be fair, he looks very silly in his hat and gloves.

Wish my cricket match hadn't been rained off to be honest.

Crushingly inevitable. Better second half, and we defended well but if you don't play to score goals then...

Just heard that Paolo Di Canio's mother has died, and he stayed for the game. He may not be my cup of tea but he's now lost both his parents within a few months. He was getting some stick from the Argyle fans during the game, but it was general, I don't think the news had been released until after the game.

Condolences to him and his family.

I see on Pasoti they had a hatred thread on Di Canio weeks before this, dimwits one and all.

Class manager, one we can only dream of at present,, and if andy s and his army of lefties on pasoti cannot deal with it then they need to get with the times and get a grip

How would you react if our manager sported a swastika? Would you say, "That's OK - it's an ancient symbol of good luck."

Being a member of the Fascist Party is one thing, and Di Canio could be a member of the Communist Party or a fuckin Moonie for all I care, but linking that is not on.

All these moaning Minnies do my head in as well, but let's not go down the road this is starting to go.

My comment was intended to show the unacceptability of any gesture that supported any odious political organisation that caused suffering or victimised groups unable to defend themselves. The Nazis, under their swastika, killed millions. Pol Pot and Stalin also killed millions. Thank you for pointing that out. Mussolini was less efficient - though his racist ideology and behaviour in Abyssinia was pretty shitty. I am not aware of any symbolism that Pol Pt used. I guess I could have used the image of the hammer & sickle. Do you think it's acceptable for di Canio to use the fascist salute?

punchdrunk,
You are walking a fine line here mate. Don't know what your agenda is, but this is not a political website and does not promote any political views at all.

Punchy, will you kindly stop this trolling?

You have not broken any posting rules - yet. But you are wrecking every thread you post on this evening. Continue and expect a suspension.

Isn't there something about 'common decency" in the rules....cough!

If not there should be.

GOB, I've posted in the Mod forum, but it bears repeating here, being a fascist doesn't mean you can't post on ATD. Being a total tosser and fecking up every thread by trolling - which this is in my view, does mean you will likely get a suspension.

Swindon supporting fan at the match said, ' Your fans were good but your team looked largely unfit, slow and overweight, particularly Wotton, Purse n Walton,. They spent most of the game shouting at eachother.

Sad to wake up and see the fallout with Punchie. He's been one of AT's most loyal supporters. I consider to be left of centre politically myself but I also don't agree with the PC lunacy taking over the country. I have annoyed people before by my stated dislike of Islamic extremists, living in Britain, enjoying our benefits but encouraging racism and harbouring potential terrorists.
If that makes me a racist in this loony PC age, I don't bloody care.

Er, no-one's branded you anything. The problem with punchdrunk was the constant posting of offensive (by any normal standards) links which were nothing other than trolling. That's why the mods who were online last night went for a suspension. Despite numerous requests for him to stop, he persisted, and we received several complaints about both the trolling and the content of the links.
