| Plymouth Argyle and Austrian Bundesliga club LASK are reported to have made offers to Swedish side Elfsborg for their 25-year-old midfielder Michael Baidoo.
The Ghanaian scored the opening goal for Elfsborg in their 3-1 home win against IFK Goteborg yesterday, a result which leaves them in fourth place in the Allsvenskan, Sweden's top division, with 10 matches of their season remaining. |

| The hope will be that fresh faces can join while existing stars are held onto. Now, a link with a new addition has emerged.
According to a report from reputable Swedish news outlet Sportbladet, Plymouth Argyle are among the clubs bidding to sign Ghanaian star Michael Baidoo from Allsvenskan outfit Elfsborg.
However, the Pilgrims could face an uphill battle having been outbid.
Austrian side LASK Linz are the only other side alongside Argyle to have made an offer. Their bid is higher than the Championship club’s though, seemingly putting them in the strongest position to get him through the door.
Baidoo’s club Elfsborg have a Europa League play-off game against Molde on Thursday night but a decisive decision must be made before the deadline on Friday. |

| The bid that Plymouth Argyle have made for Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo would smash their club transfer record, Plymouth Live understands.
Baidoo is thought to be keen on joining the Pilgrims but his Swedish club Elfsborg want to keep one of their star players. They have an an important UEFA Europa League Play-Off Second Leg against Norwegian side Molde tomorrow night. |

| It's clear Argo know this isn't happening so they can talk about "record" fees all they like. I bet we don't spend a single penny on fees before the window slams shut tomorrow. |

| Baidoo: "Waiting for a call from Rooney"
BORÅS. Michael Baidoo, 25, may be lost to Elfsborg.
Especially if Plymouth manager Wayne Rooney cls.
I would like to talk to Rooney, says Baidoo.
Sportbladet recently revealed that Elfsborg star Michael Baidoo is being chased concretely by Championship club Plymouth and Austrian Lask Linz.
An hour after the penalty shootout that took Elfsborg to the Europa League, Baidoo came out in the mixed zone and admitted that he is struggling with his thoughts about the future.
It's not easy to have mixed feelings when you come to a match while it helps me grow, he says.
Was this your last game for Elfsborg?
You never know. A lot can happen in an hour. I'm still here. I don't know how many hours are left in the transfer window. Now I need to recharge and think about what will happen in the next few hours. It is not simple. We'll see.
Is there an offer for you?
Of course. If you play like I have, of course there will be offers. It is there.
And it's Plymouth and Lask Linz?
The clubs are there. You know the clubs, but are they the right clubs for me? I'll see what happens in the next few hours.
Earlier on Thursday, the Plymouth Herald reported that Plymouth manager, former England international and great player, Wayne Rooney said about Baidoo at a press conference:
He is a player we like, he is a player I like. We have made the right contacts with the club but it is probably out of our control and it (a transfer) seems very unlikely.
Baidu:
When Rooney says that... He was an incredible player and is now a manager. Then I do something good if he says that about me.
Have you talked to each other?
Not yet. But I want to (laughter).
Are you waiting for a call from him?
I have to keep an eye on the phone.
If Rooney calls you, do you make the decision to move to Plymouth then?
I will be happy if he calls. Then I'll see what I say to Stefan (Andreasson, Elfsborg's club manager). I haven't received the call yet.
Is it your decision if you want to move?
I know that Stefan (Andreasson) wants the best for me. It is not easy for him to let Baidoo go, the club has to play in the Europa League. But I think the decision lands with me.
If it's the best for me, I think the clubs will find a solution, says Michael Baidoo. |

| Put away the winning goal (pen) against Roma in the Champions League tonight.
Bet he's thinking "If things had been different, I could have been looking forward to playing Blackburn Rovers" |
