Bernard & Matthews

Recent Academy graduates Josh Bernard and Jack Matthews have joined Tavistock AFC on loan.

Both penned their first professional contracts this summer and will now head to The Lambs to gain valuable first team experience.

Tavistock compete in the Southern League Division One South under Stuart Henderson and the duo will follow in the footsteps of several former Pilgrims to ply their trade at Langsford Park.

Everyone at Argyle wishes them well for their loan spell.

Feels like a bit of a 'last resort' move; announced one day before the start of the season to ship them both off to Tavy. Shame they couldn't find a team a bit higher up the pyramid, but hopefully they'll do well and attract the attention of a bigger non-league team.
