| Nat Ogbeta has joined Plymouth on a free transfer after spending the second half of the season on loan at Wanderers.
Ogbeta was a free agent following his release by Swansea and has now put pen to paper over a contract at Home Park, becoming Wayne Rooney’s first signing since taking charge of the Pilgrims.
Rooney told the club website: “Nathanael joins us from good pedigree having come through the ranks at Manchester City, and he has also had successful spells at Bolton and Shrewsbury.
“He comes to Argyle looking to take the step up to Championship level on a consistent basis and we believe he has all the attributes to do that and become a pivotal member of the squad.
“He is quick, good on the ball and provides balance on the left side of defence. I’m sure the fans will enjoy watching him play and I look forward to welcoming him to Plymouth Argyle when we return to pre-season at the beginning of July.”
Director of football Neil Dewsnip added: “I am thrilled that Nathanael has agreed to join us and become our first signing of the summer.
“He is someone we have been aware of for a while, after producing excellent performances for both Shrewsbury and, more recently, Bolton Wanderers.
“He has good experience for such a young age but still has plenty of room for growth and development. He will complement our squad perfectly and we feel he will make a really positive impact at Championship level.”
Ogbeta joined the Whites in January and was regularly involved over the past few months, scoring on his debut in a 4-1 victory at Carlisle minutes after coming off the bench.
The 23-year-old had to build up his sharpness during his initial weeks at the Toughsheet Community Stadium following a lengthy injury lay-off but also managed to get on the scoresheet in the 5-0 win against Oxford in March.
He missed a few games after picking up a thigh problem but returned to the side for the play-off final against Oxford at Wembley, with Randell Williams sidelined by a knock. |

| Could mean that Miller is on the way out. Not earth shattering credentials, having played only 2 games for a team who are one of Argyle's competitors and seemingly his departure not being greatly mourned by Bolton fans but welcome and good luck to him anyway. |

| dont think its a case of miller going this guy isnt a winger for a start maybe its galloway who's off or maybe we needed another defender cause thats one of the areas that needs strengthening majorly over the summer along with midfield and upfront. No idea what this guy is like but hes cheap, free and hasnt played this level before so he sounds perfect for us.
i do find it funny rooney was quoted like he was discussing this signing when he had zero input into it and this would have been done before he took over lol. |

| Hmmm smells very much like a Dewsnip signing. Ex-U20 international with a modest record, I wonder if he worked with Foster [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] . Swansea didn't want to keep him and Bolton fans don't seem to rate him that much. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Anyway good luck to the lad, but thois doesn't particularly bode well for the quality of signings we are going to be making. We need to substantially improve the squad, not pick up another bunch of young players in the hope they come good. |

| That won't have done much for Saxon Earley's confidence. |

| If Argo hadn't signed him he would have gone to a bang average L1 club at best |

Bolton fans seem to be confused as to what role he plays but certainly doesn't seem to be an out and out defender; [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] taking that into account hes probably been signed as a wingback which would make sense as we dont have many of them. Doesnt seem to be a replacement for Miller no matter what happens to him. |

Is Miller not a wing back then? You couldn't really describe him as an out and out winger-attacking wing back certainly but he starts from deeper positions than a winger would. Anyway, we'll see what transpires. |

Anyway, we'll see what transpires. he is but hes not the same type of player as this guy which is what i meant. if miller goes dewsnip will sign a replacement for him who who would be more of an attacking threat. this guy seems more of a replacement for that guy we brought in on loan from villa who did next to nothing here on the wingback and we lack options for that postition in anycase as we do on the right.. |
