Wrexham have joined Plymouth Argyle, Preston North End and Hull City in pursuit of Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Marc Leonard,
Wrexham are keen on landing the Premier League man this summer as they prepare for life in League One.
Leonard, 22, has spent the past two years on loan at Northampton Town to get some experience under his belt. He has been a key player for the Cobblers under the guidance of Jon Brady but has now gone back to the AMEX Stadium.
However, they will have to face competition from the likes of Plymouth Argyle, Preston and Hull City.
He has a year left on his contract at Brighton and his chances of breaking into their first-team next season are slim due to the abundance of top quality options that they have at their disposal in his position.
Therefore, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him head out the exit door on a permanent basis in the upcoming transfer window.
