Just looking at our fixtures on paper for first two months. Fleetwood and Forest Green aside, we have this run...

Ipswich
Wycombe

9 out of 11 we play who’d be in virtually everyone’s playoff contenders list I’d have thought.

If we are anywhere near the top 6 by 1st October, we’d have done pretty well I’d say.

On the other hand we will be more likely to have a fullish and fit squad in these early days and if we are up there with them come November then we should have an easier run up to Xmas. This is a tough league nowadays full stop.

There's no easy games in this league, we lost to the smaller teams we should have beat last season. any team can beat another.

Still 3 points in the bag from the first match. At least we got a practice match against Posh 3 days before the real thing.
