The biggest problem they’re going to have - and it’s showing already in the last year or so with Academy results - is our Academy set up will soon be light years ahead of theirs…and the income that’s basically kept them afloat in the last decade will be in serious jeopardy when it comes to the Southwest talent pool. https://twitter.com/argyle/status/1706248818625319024?s=46&t=6ztSe669kwHryLhnHHKcRw |

Isn't it remarkable that whenever one or two of my greenie chums has a pop at City, providence provides Luton Town to help us out. Meanwhile large sections of Argyle's cross-border fans must be spitting feathers at this latest revelation https://www.devonlive.com/whats-on/food-drink/devon-national-cream-tea-day-1331042 |

I haven't the foggiest as to whether Luton fielded a few stiffs into the team they bussed down to Devon. One thing I do know is that City managed to played themselves back into the match after spending much of the first half under the cosh. While owning up to my lack of knowledge regarding their players, I imagine Gary Caldwell is well versed as to who's who and therefore handily placed to request a loanee of two when the time comes - providing he can beat others to the punch. |

| Cup glory obviously getting in the way of the promotion er......challenge. Eggs in one basket springs to mind but lose to the Smoggies-what happens then? Gary probably has it all mapped out though as he has at most of his previous clubs. |

Northampton Town has a long history of being City's bogey team having defeated us 4-0 in the 2019-20 EFL League 2 at Wembley. As I mentioned before, the injuries don't help when the revolving door to the sickbay keeps revolving. Many fans on Exeweb are also complaining about the lack of punch in the strikers department with James Scott, the signing from Hull FC coming in for criticism. I still believe it's gonna be a mid-table struggle for both Argyle and City this season although there is slight chance that the 'greens' might sneak as high as eighth or ninth. |

If you think a mid table finish will be classed as a struggle for argyle on our first season back in the championship and with a relegation budget you are sorely mistaken old chum, I'm sure it'll be most welcome by all but the most demanding/deluded of the fanbase and a tidy platform to build upon for next season. |

Mid table would be amazing. With a fully fit squad of players that would not actually be unobtainable. But Argo's penchant for mounting long term injuries will keep us down among the strugglers particularly in the latter half of the season. Survival is an absolute must this season more than any other season at this level as the financial rewards next season will be significant. |

Absolutely Les. Staying in the 2nd tier is literally all that matters for us due to the hugely differing levels of financial distribution from tier 2 to tier 3 next year. Consolidate and kick on. As far as Exeters aspirations go - realistically, there’s a similar target for them but at the lower level. Not getting relegated from league 1 is always a successful season for Exeter. |

| Mmm. Never mind, Argyle lost 5-1 at the Valley last season and ended up with 101 points. And through all of our respective clubs struggles, at least we have the consolation we're not Cheltenham supporters-no goals in 11 games. Imagine the reaction if and when they do manage to find the net-open top bus tour, lord mayor's reception...... |

| The collapse is well and truly on ... but we've got our own battle in progress, albeit in a higher division so mustn't gloat too much. |

if i were a greek i wouldt want that tbh. Taylor has a few jobs he can register his interest in now and stand a good chance of landing one of them oxford or bristol rovers but if they where to look at bringing him back then maybe in a few years time not little more than a year after he left to go to Rotherham its not a good look for Taylor or the club. |
