| Wow, sanctions hitting them hard now with the club unable to sell players or tickets and their sponsor 3 pulling out with immediate effect. They have also had all their tv money frozen with some papers saying they could go bust pretty quickly if not sold soon. Whoever is looking to buy must be rubbing their hands with glee as the price plummets. |

| AFC Bournemouth's Russian-born owner Maxim Demin, who is not an oligarch and is a UK Citizen will not be subject to sanctions. |

| they will be fine they already got billionaires interested including the uk Candy brothers who do luxury property redevelopments around the world.
still once russia starts using the chinese banking system these sanctions will be even more pointless in trying to stop putin by hurting civilians. |

Thing is the longer the whole thing drags out the more debt they will accrue and the cheaper the buy price gets. There will be much wrangling going on. |

they are worth billions so they can buy them and government would allow them as one thing Boris will not want as Chelsea is tory donor hotspot is the death of that club so i dont see him or the government preventing the sale. So whether its them or indeed anyone else bidding it would be ok just aslong as the money doesnt go to Roman Abramovich who has the sanctions so they may hold the money from the sale. Roman was vague when he announced he was selling up, not asking for any of his money back and any profit from the sale would go to help the victims of the war as he didnt say which side so for that reason Government would hold on to the money till either his sanctions are lifted or he states on public record the money would go to help the Ukraine victims and denounces Putin. As ears says longer the club cant receive income and has to use its reserves which is all tied up with sponsors withdrawing and roman the price of the club will be rapidly dropping. Ken Bates may get to buy them again for a £1 |

| If they have no income they won't be able to pay the players as the wage bill must be about the same as a small country's. Any other club would be deducted points. Don't expect that to happen though. |

| Be interesting to see what happens when they run out of funds to pay players as I think that would mean players would be free to join another club as they would be deemed to be unemployed so n ot subject to transfer fees or transfer windows.
Be a laugh if Mason Mount joined Lampard at Everton on a "free" for the last 3 or 4 games of the season.
Would the Govt stop the PFA lending the Club money to pay the players? |

Would the Govt stop the PFA lending the Club money to pay the players? wouldnt have thought so as again as long as the money isnt going to Abramovich the government wont block chelsea running. |

| Chairman Simon Hallett told Plymouth Live: "As soon as I heard about the sanctions on Abramovich I checked with David Ray (Argyle's head of finance) and we have had two cheques come in from Chelsea.
"One for a young player out of the academy and one for the FA Cup game, and they have both cleared.
"The amount of money from the FA Cup was much less than people expect. It was between £350,000-£400,000. |

It's a tough one that is Reg. I wouldn't have thought it would be a lot but shorely there will be loads of add ONS and bolt ONS for the lad if he ever plays in blue. You would have thought he would have had much more chance of playing for Argyle but could you turn him down for the chance to be signed by a big hitter? |
