| Does this mean a midfielder is likely to be leaving or is he something we don't have already? Defenders would be on my shopping list tbh. Welcome to Argyle bhey. |

we are short on numbers in the middle (Mayor, Broom, Camara, Houghton, Randall) so i don't think so plus we are without Camara for a month a least on top of that so it made sense to bring in a fresh face who hopefully can offer something different to the options we have now. I would hope the club learnt is lesson finally on operating a one in one out model in January transfer window while every other club is adding to their squads to strengthen as we fall apart as a result of not having depth in ours cause we dont actually strengthen the squad just replace like for like. If we do indeed move someone on i imagine it would be Randall on loan to get some game time as we don't operate any reserve teams so he's nit benefitting from sitting on the bench atm if hes not going to be given more minutes under schumacher. |

| Perhaps a replacement for the PNE (or even elsewhere) bound Camara or Mayor? Looking more likely someone will be off very soon. |

| Smart money would be on Randell going out on loan to League 2.
Also potentially saving us half a million sheets on Broom
Lewis is a no risk signing , got him free if he's shite off with him in the summer. |

You are aware that Preston are nothing special and arent that rich? They could probably at least double their wages at Championship PNE. If Lowe wants any Argo player they will be gone. |

Maybe they could, what Angrys referring to is as all of our players are under contract at least for the next 18 months can PNE afford a substantial transfer fee. |

You are aware that Preston are nothing special and arent that rich? Funny that, I googled PNE the other day and they were almost identical sized club to Argyle with a capacity of 24,000 until we had our ground "improved". Mental to think that since being in a crowd of 24,000 watching the classic against QPR which took us to the CCC we have lost approx. 8,000 seats. |

Has to be, if randall's keeping him from making the bench it does beg the question why the club signed him and thatsnot a knock towards him as it would be very unfair to judge him after a handful of minutes played. |

| In my mind he's a "development" player. The Irish League to top end of L1 is a big step up. |

theres truth in what your saying but i question how he would get up to league one standard if thats the case if hes not even featuring or even playing any football as dont forget we dont have a reserve team and i dont think you can send players out on loan anymore. |

| When he signed, Schuey said that he'd be in and around the squad but was essentially a development player. The Irish season had ended and he wasn't fully fit, so to expect him to step up to L1 standard would be asking a lot.
It's a similar situation to George Kelly, who signed for Rotherham, Warne said at the time that he wouldn't be featuring until next season.
I can see Lewis as a replacement for Broom if he goes back. |

| Midfielder Alfie Lewis has had his hopes of forcing his way into first team contention at Plymouth Argyle hit by a thigh injury.
Pilgrims' boss Steven Schumacher has revealed that the 22-year-old is set to be ruled out for the rest of March.

| Waste of a wage …he was signed injured for starters there were other players they could have signed ( fit ones ) in Jan window …it’s no good if his not contributing on the pitch |

He wasnt signed injured. He hadn't played since November due to the Irish league's season ending in November (which is when it always ends nothing to do with covid fwiw) so he was behind in fitness for that reason. He had a tough time since he's arrived due to the form of the other midfielders breaking into the match squad but that's football unfortunately and cant be helped but im sure he will feature if his thigh strain isn't more serious towards the final run in of games. and by all accounts the club where pleased with progress he was making before he got his thigh strain so all is well. PP made a good point about next season i feel his impact will be more then especially when Broom leaves to go back to Peterborough. |

| This is the problem with no proper reserve league.
We saw it with Cooper now E Lewis.
We need a team between first team and the kids where players can get fitness. |
