| There's a story in the Erole today about a bloke who drinks up to 20 litres of cider a day.
Which is helping to keep my mind off worrying about how on earth I'm going to entertain two small people, two days a week, for six weeks if the weather doesn't improve. |

| Might work.
Or I could volunteer them to provide security for the Olympics. |

Like pizza, they always promise more than they deliver. In my opinion, innit. Now decent chips can make a meal, and horrible chips are really nasty.
In the pub where Kaz is chef they changed the chips they used last year to a cheaper version, and they had dozens of complaints in a few weeks, so they changed back and everyone was happy again. The difference in price was around a £1 a box. I believe it's McCains rustic chips that are really good, unfortunately I bought Co-op crinkle cut chips in bulk this week. After getting wetter than a fish in a bowl of detergent laced water last week I thought that I would have a rib eye steak for a treat, I said to the missus, "whilst you're in the co-op get a bag of crinkle cut chips", when we got home I discovered they were OVEN CHIPS! Spoilt an already really bad day. |

| Having been watching/listening to the athletics the last couple of days, I think I might have solved at least part of the small people problem. When it's raining, we'll watch the Olympics, and make gold, silver and bronze medals and stuff. And when/if it's not raining, we'll hold our own Olympics up Demport Park.
Now to think about how to make sure neither of them end up crying. |

Sorry, I didn't believe you so went and checked. ... and? I'm not answering that question. If I do it will stop others feeling the need to go and check themselves. |

| Ok, sad I know.
But if you type 'anagram' into Goggle, it will ask you "do you mean 'nag a ram'?" |

You'll never grow up big and strong. Didn't anyone ever tell you that's unhealthy? My mum used to keep a bowl of dripping in the cupboard (not the fridge) that she used to dig a slice out off to cook with. She used to top it up with any suitable fat that was going. Who knows how old the stuff at the bottom was! I now have the bowl but not the fat. |

| Big news today!
It's raining.
Since I won't be going anywhere this year, I decided to ring the changes and move the furniture around. Can't even get out the front door now. |

| Managed to clear a path to the front door and get out in time to go to my book group, which was quite good, although I was one of only a couple who'd found anything good to say about the book. We've got two to read now, as there isn't another one til September. While out, I also bumped into my old exercise class teacher: she now runs another class near me, which I can get to, so that's nice.
I also had to go to the Post Office, where I chatted to a woman who used to sit near me up argo. Neither of us (nor her husband) have renewed our STs due to losing our seats to the salsa yoof. On the way out of the Co-op, which is where the Post Office is, I bought two fingers of fudge.
By the time I got home, I'd forgotten all about the furniture and stuff. I reckon I've got a couple of hours' more work to do on it.
So. Busy day.

Ok, so he was a supermarket cashier, and I had to give him money for them, but still. You know. Well on that basis a woman gave me a pack of nappies and a jar of mayonnaise yesterday. Kinky bitch had a right glint in her eye as well, especially when the cucumber popped up. |

| When the seven year old was a bit younger than seven, I put some peanut butter on a white flannel and told her it was her dolly's nappy. She thought it was hilarious when I licked it. |
