I found a half full can of Carlsberg on the garden wall this morning, don't know about "the best lager in the world", tasted like piss to me.

It was de rigeur on Arrakis. Even Sting drank it.

I had to google Arrakis - I thought it must have been a mediterranean retreat you went on with Sting. Embarassed

Got some paid work for three weeks. Today, I did 8am to 4pm without a break, most of it on my feet.

When I got on the bus home and sat down, I let out an audible middle-aged sigh Embarassed

Watching Wycliffe on ITV 3.
Loved watching it when I was in Ireland back in the 90's.

If they renamed ITV3 "Mundane" would be the perfect name for it.

It gets worse. On the way to work this morning, I voluntarily struck up a conversation with a complete stranger at the bus stop.

I'm turning into my mum.

Yes. There are loads of them along this road. But until I got my hearing aids I couldn't hear them. I used to be stood next to them and friends would say, "Hark at them crickets!" They were amazed when I said I couldn't hear a thing. I'm looking forward to the cricket season.

Just been to the Co-op to get two healthy sandwiches for my lunch...then stopped in Jacca's and supplemented them with two sausage rolls just in case. Crikey, I hope I can do justice to the buffet tonight, I forgot about that What a Face

Up to individuals - They're doing a cold buffet for us, sandwiches, etc. it's costing me £100, as long as I can get back about half of that I'm not too worried. After my win on the 50/50 last week, I look upon it as the club paying lol!
