| Club suspends fans - bans coming! [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]CLUB NEWS Investigation Update The club has made progress in its investigation into disturbances during Saturday’s Sky Bet League One fixture against Wigan Athletic at Home Park. Since the conclusion of Saturday’s fixture, we have worked with the police and our security partner to identify those responsible for the trouble and ensure that such behaviour is rooted out of our club. Our investigation team has reviewed a combination of CCTV, match footage and body cameras from security staff and police officers operating at the fixture. We thank all supporters who have shared information and footage with us as part of our evidence gathering. As a result, in consultation with Devon and Cornwall Police, over 25 individuals have had their ticketing accounts immediately suspended due to involvement in serious disorder and breaching of ground regulations at Home Park. Internal investigations will continue, and the club is working closely with Devon and Cornwall Police to identify further individuals found to be involved in the disturbances. We will provide a further update once the police investigation is concluded, and write to those affected in due course to inform them of their suspension. Stadium bans will be issued to all identified individuals. Each ban has been calculated on a case-by-case basis, with a mixture of time-limited (2.5 years) and indefinite bans issued based on the severity of offence. The club reiterates its zero-tolerance policy towards abusive, anti-social, and violent behaviour. There is no place for it at Home Park, or elsewhere, and individuals who seek to cause trouble are not welcome at our games. As with every home fixture, we are keen to receive feedback on the match-day experience of our supporters. The club has already begun a process of reviewing our match-day operations, and we certainly take learnings from recent events. We will provide a further update in the coming days regarding improvements to our match-day processes, including matters relating to stadium segregation, turnstile queuing, and entry searches. We thank supporters for their patience and understanding. |

| The club would like to update supporters following its investigation into the disturbances during last month’s Sky Bet League One fixture with Wigan Athletic. In a previous communication, we confirmed that we had identified over 25 individuals who we believed to be involved in the disorder, and we are now in a position to provide more details. Since this last update, we have worked jointly with Devon and Cornwall Police to make formal identification of those involved. This was largely achieved by assessing hours of CCTV, as well as body camera footage from both stewards and police officers. As a result of these findings, 32 individuals have now been issued with club bans, ranging from two and a half years to lifetime bans. 15 of those have also been interviewed by the police formally, with a view to prosecutions being made. Devon & Cornwall Police have also sent details of seven Wigan Athletic supporters to Greater Manchester Police, including the individual responsible for setting off a flare, who are now in the process of being identified. As well as identifying and taking action against those responsible, the club has also taken time to look at how internal processes for match day safety can be enhanced. New segregation netting will be in place for Saturday’s visit of Charlton Athletic, and will cover all unseated areas of the Barn Park End and the first two rows of every block between 16 and 23. Additional stewarding will be deployed across the stadium, with those specifically trained to deal with potential conflict posted in key areas as well as further additional stewarding to support the exit from the stadium at the end of game. Contingency mitigation plans have also been reviewed and amendments made where necessary, ensuring that our response to incidents like this are improved based on learnings we have gathered over the last four weeks. A Devon & Cornwall Police spokesperson said “Devon and Cornwall Police and our dedicated Football Unit are working in partnership with Plymouth Argyle Football Club to investigate the unacceptable behaviour from some individuals that took place during the recent defeat to Wigan Athletic in November. We have so far identified 15 Plymouth Argyle supporters who are suspected of committing offences and we are proactively investigating this behaviour alongside our colleagues from Greater Manchester police concerning offences involving Wigan Athletic supporters. We will continue to work closely with Plymouth Argyle Football Club to identify those who pose a risk to crowd safety. We will not tolerate this sort of behaviour from a small minority; it puts others at danger and ruins the spectacle for true football supporters. Those that break the law and ultimately put supporters safety at risk will be investigated, prosecuted, and run the risk of lifetime bans from all football stadiums“ As a result of the incident against Wigan Athletic, the next two home games against Charlton Athletic and Portsmouth will now see a greater police presence. For complete clarity, this comes at a significantly increased cost to the club. We thank supporters for their cooperation and support to ensure that Home Park is a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

| Massive overreaction from the club. Losing 2 rows of seats from 8 blocks will have an impact on capacity although on current form that's unlikely to be tested. Why not just chuck up a 30 foot electric fence between the zoo and the away end lol. |

| Might have to find a new seat normally sit down 14,15,16 depending what I can get.
Not sure how losing two rows will help anything.Just wack a bigger divide between 16 and the away fans and leave it at that. |

The massive overreaction was from the morons who were involved that’s now costing the club money. |

Sadly I think in a crowd of 12,000 people you are going to get some racists, some violent people, probably a paedo or two and the odd Rickler, always have done and always will do. I've never seen a season where a couple of fans don't get banned it is nothing new and let's be honest in the seventies and eighties there would have been empty stadiums all round the country had today's rules been implemented. |

Understand all that but it’s because of what was happening in the seventies and eighties we have to put up with these measures, what happened against Wigan was quite surprising as I hadn’t seen any disruption like that at HP for several years (Exeter derbies excepted!) |

Your last sentence proves my point, thanks. One incident of handbags between 2 groups of lads and we're netting off huge swathes of the stadium lol. Did you see the segregation at the Arsenal/West Ham game last night? About 5 feet and a row of stewards. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

No the trouble is that some people are twats and every generation we will need to ban some, like Mis said is there any need for the extra netting once you have banned the twats? |

| Just has a look at the "Netting" bottom of block 16 and 17.
Pretty pointless.
Noticeable from Wycombe game a heavier stewarding presence. |
