'tis a problem and something that will need to be addressed if and when Argyle progress in the football league. Not sure if there are any options-is there such a thing as a championship reserve league? Agard scored again, like to see him start in the cup on Sunday. He was a serious player in this division only a couple of years ago and scored 22 goals for MKD in their promotion season, had an injury or two since i believe but if he could get properly match sharp then it would be good competition for Hardie and Jephcott. |

| it's the problem we need to sort when Bolton,Cooper and Ennis are fit.
I mean if we did have a reserve league not sure Houghton would have played 45 mins tonight.
Garside coming on for him now at HT. |

| Still in the top 2 after some mixed results tonight with a lot of teams catching up their games in hand. Ipswich panned Wycombe which maybe shows how good a performance and result it was last Saturday, Wigan won but Sunderland lost-all in all a pretty good evening. |

| Ryan Lowe feels his young side can be proud of their performance in Argyle’s penalty shootout win over Arsenal under-21s in the Papa John’s Trophy.
Ryan changed his entire starting line-up for the visit of the young Gunners and handed 17-year-old Will Jenkins-Davies his first senior start.
He was one of five players to begin the game who had come through the youth system at Argyle.
Three others came on in the second half including 15-year-old Caleb Roberts, who made his debut for the Pilgrims.
Speaking after the game Ryan said, "I thought our youngsters were fantastic. I think we finished with eight academy graduates on the pitch.
“It was a good game they have some fantastic players in their team and they play in Europe a lot.
“We had a lot of youngsters out there that held their own. It was nice to get a draw from the game and then win on penalties.”
The extra point gained by the shootout win wasn’t enough for the Greens to progress to the knockout stages.
Losses to Newport County AFC and Swindon Town mean that Argyle finished with two points from their three games.
Ryan felt that it was a missed opportunity for his side.
He said, “We missed an opportunity in the other two games, the performances and results weren’t good enough.
“The teams we’ve put out in the competition we should have had five points minimum which might have seen us through.”
Having said all that, six Academy players have been handed their debuts this season and have gained valuable first team experience.
Ryan said, “We have three little superstars in the academy with Will Jenkins-Davies, Caleb Roberts and Freddie Issaka – they are all quality players.
“All of them need to keep their consistency up, I need these lads who are going to be good assets for the football club to perform like they did tonight.
“The academy kids have to believe that they’ll get opportunities, but they have to earn the right as well and they do that by performing for the youth team day in day out.” |

| All levelled out as regards games top of league 1
Who'd have thought we'd be quite rightfully top two after 16 games and only 1 defeat. Great squad and if Lowe can offload Mayor in the January window (and find another Broom) and then get a quality keeper in on loan than I see no reason we wont be top 2 come May next year
Before someone has a pop. Cooper.makes.too.many.mistakes. Absolute howler against Ipswich.....again

Youtube not google is your friend. Actually, being there and seeing it with your own mince pies is your friend. Even watching it on YouTube if anyone is at fault its the defender who got beaten at the back stick and if Cooper had gone to the back stick he would have left the goal undefended for a tap in. Mayor lost his place through injury and rightly so because who would mess with a winning in form team but anybody with any grasp of football at all can see he's one of our best players and something we have been missing for ages ie strength on the bench. |

| We're trying to do as well as we can. Why ship mayor out when his experience is going to be needed.
Cooper along with Law, Randell and Jephcott are improving with every game they play.
If cooper was the issue Burton would have been in goal for more then the pizza cup.
Even Buffon etc let one in occasionally. |

freathy at least has some credibility no matter which way you take his point of view based on the fact he gives his pov based on what he sees which again hes entitled to do whether people agree or not to be fair to him, he at least sticks to his pov despite most of the time hes way off the mark. harve on the other hand has no credibility as he cant make up his mind if hes anti lockdown but at the sametime blames boris for not locking the country down sooner than he did all 3 times its occurred while at the same time moaning about people breaking the rules in lockdowns and not being held accountable while at the same time driving around the country and removing his face nappy and wont wear them still but blames the PM for all of the deaths despite the fact its dickheads like him who cause the spikes in the first place leading to lockdowns and probably restrictions come christmas... football wise he only watches tgwu's highlight vids which are about 1-2mins long usually so how he can be so confident cooper is shit based on the other team scoring only is a utter joke. |
