Said to my bhey at half time we'll go on to win this now and despite a few scares and goal mouth scrambes we were worthy winners imo. When we're on our game and passing through teams they struggle to live with us from what I've seen, plus the obvious benefits of having a much improved defence in front of future local legend Michael Cooper. 15 unbeaten in the league ... Superb Argyle, both players and management.
Agree about the first half, Ipswich did a job on Argyle and stopped the usual passing from the back game-Argyle went long much more than usual and it didn't seem to suit. TBH the equaliser came a bit out of the blue but a nice angled ball from Randell i think and Edwards got inside the defender [Cook would have been spitting feathers],good save from Walton but to no avail with Jeffers poaching. Very strong start to the second half and an excellently worked one two with Galloway saw the equally excellent Grant drill it into the corner, wadda player. Hardie should buried the game shortly after but to be fair to Ipswich they had probably more chances in the second half and their fans were completely adamant at the station afterwards that there was a definite handball. But c'est la vie, win some lose some and all the rest of it-Argyle certainly aren't top through luck and are so much more resilient this season. Thought Houghton's composure was missed but Randell has a nice range of passing and didn't let the side down by any means. Great crowd and atmosphere, all round kudos to the players and management. |

| fantastic result today and in front of a sell out crowd too. Ipswich started bright and punished us with a goal which the goalscorer doing his best hulk hogan impression goading the devonport end afterwards backfired on him when we went on and won it comfortably.
Randall i thought did very well filling in for Houghton and im sure he has strengthen his case for more first team appearances despite not being the holding midfield Jordon is he still had good passing range and set piece taking. Hardie was very lively and really should have scored at least twice but was denied by Walton the former YTS player and first teamer for us.
the display for Paul Mariner i thought was very good however ruined by the organizers for one not making it clear that the display was for after the minutes applause as the crowd put the plastic (i hope recyclable) as the teams walked out and not all the fans did it which was a shame and afterwards most around me throw the sheets away only to be told to put them back up lol not sure how it looks in the photos yet.
we battled hard for this win after going down first and that is testament to the changes in mentality the squad now has as last season we would have struggled to get back into this game and not allow ipswich to dominate the rest of the game.
overall great win much deserved and hopefully a large number of the 14500 argyle fans return for the next home game which isnt for a while i see unless ive missed a game its looks like the 23rd against wycombe. |

| Since seeing him come on against Macclesfield few seasons back Randell has bulked up and looks to be very handy coming forward |

| Correct score again
Absolute shocker from Cooper for their goal. Dug in hard though and with Ennis and George Cooper to come this is looking good
Sunderland rocked with 2 defeats. |

| You'd get more respect if you were able to admit when you're wrong instead of carrying on digging. |

| Cooper hasn't grown to be 8 ft 9ins, so it was quite clearly his fault. |

| Having had a look at various websites, reports etc and indeed after attending the match yesterday, it would seem that Harv is in a minority of around 16000 to 1. |
