Argyle News
Argyle go into Saturday’s Sky Bet League One game with Morecambe off the back of three straight wins in the division. The form of the side is pleasing for manager Ryan Lowe, but he knows they have to be on their A game if they’re to continue impressing. We can’t get complacent; we can’t get carried away
Morecambe, they have made a decent enough start they are scoring loads of goals. They’re conceding goals as well, they have lost their last three in the league, all of which have been away from home. They have seven of their next nine games at home.
In Stockton, they have the division’s joint top goal scorer with 10 goals.
TEAM NEWS
The Pilgrims have no fresh injury concerns and, if you take long term absentees George Cooper, James Bolton and Niall Ennis out of the equation, have a fully fit squad to choose from.
Argyle (3-5-2):1 Mike Cooper (gk); 5 James Wilson, 6 Dan Scarr, 22 Brendon Galloway, 8 Joe Edwards (capt),28 Panutche Camara , 4 Jordan Houghton, 7 Ryan Broom, 15 Conor Grant; 14 Jordon Garrick ), 9 Ryan Hardie.

Morecambe News
Manager Stephen Robinson says his Morecambe team are aware of what’s needed to turn their recent form around.
Robinson’s men fell to defeat against Cheltenham Town on Tuesday night in Sky Bet League One, and face league leaders Plymouth Argyle next time out on Saturday 23 October.
The 46-year-old is hoping his side will be ‘brave’ and ‘take the game’ to Ryan Lowe’s men at the Mazuma Stadium at the weekend.
Morecambe do have the option of matching Plymouth’s back three should they wish to do so.
The Shrimps started the season playing 4-3-3 but have recently used a back three or five as Robinson seeks an answer to their defensive issues.
In contrast to Plymouth, the Shrimps have conceded the most goals in League One, with 24 in 13 games.
Morecambe could be without as many as three first team forwards. Jon Obika, Shayon Harrison and Courtney Duffus have all missed large parts of the season and are likely to be out for Saturday.
1. Morecambe have lost four of their last five league games against Plymouth (W1), failing to score in each defeat. 2. Plymouth have never failed to score in 13 previous league meetings with Morecambe, netting 25 goals in total (W7 D3 L3). 3. Morecambe have lost three consecutive league games, last losing four in a row in September 2018. 4. Plymouth are unbeaten in 13 league games (W8 D5), winning their last three in a row. They haven’t won four straight league fixtures since January 2020.

Obviously the unbeaten run will come to an end at some point, but the squad is brimming with confidence and ability, so going for an away win, although the Shrimpers have done ok so far in L1 this season and had one or two good wins.

Bad feeling about this one. Morecambe do score a lot of goals. Think this will be the day our unbeaten run comes to an end with a narrow defeat. Just hope it's not the start of a run of poor results.

Yeah lets run Broom into the ground then be without the option of him at least from the bench for weeks/months.

that’s different ..cos if his been dropped cos his not fit he shouldn’t even be on the bench But if it is a tactical decision as others have said it’s a brave decision cos his been different class and don’t deserved to be dropped

Hardie was dropped last weekend cause he was blowing chunks before the game, he wasn't fully fit and on the bench. We forget hes not our player and secondly it depends if the fitness team clear him to play. Mayor only played 45 mins against Swindon because thats what they advised.
