Just flashed up on Youtube as a suggestion....

"Stretch" getting the winner after we were 2-0 down. I was serving at the Far Post back then on match days and what an absolute after match piss up it was.... I remember Gordon Ward saying PT "no more" whilst holding on to a chair lol

Must have been same season we beat Leeds 6-3 at Home Park ??

Remember it well. Stewart Evans wasn't the most popular player with the fans [ although he actually had a decent scoring record in the old second division] and there were a few gripes among some of the punters when he came on but it completely changed the game after City had dominated the first half, think he had an assist for one of the other goals too. Went ape shit on the Mayflower terrace when that volley went it, one of the great Argyle moments.

Imagine having Kevin Summerfield and John Matthews in a midfield today on the current superb pitches we play on
Would be a joy to watch....

You hear so much crap about how football has massively improved since those days but there were plenty of players around then who could have made any adjustments needed and thrived in the present day-they would have been two of them. Russell Coughlin on his day could pass the ball a la Hoddle as well, great players to watch as were Garry Nelson and in later times Steve McCall.
