It is well tight between 4th and 10th, Salford can't be ruled out as they have games in hand also.

However, we'll continue to dream of City cruising majestically into div 1 while visions of argyle's promotion push ending in tears would have us doing cartwheels in the street. The thought of the argyle managerial team up and leaving in a fit of pique would probably be a dream just a mite too far.

Can't see Exeter not being promoted now.  They'll have a season or maybe two in the third tier and then go back down again.  Enjoy the ride.

FGR once had a healthy 14 point lead over City that has now been reduced to just 4 with six games left. After only scrambling a 1 - 1 draw at home to Hartlepool, perhaps cracks are beginning to show. They might be there for the taking.

What would be hilarious would be if certain Argyle players suddenly become worried that promotion might see them surplus to next year's lineup and therefore suffered a 'drop' in form. Also, your position in the playoffs are less than clear-cut what with your competitors enjoying games in hand. Without checking their remaining games I'd say that Sunderland look particularly dangerous. We'll just have to see.

unless Argyle go on a horrendous run in the last few remaining games we pretty much in the playoffs now which is great.
and lets be real no argyle fan will be that saddened, disappointed yes naturally but not saddened if we don't go up this season as it was never on the cards to begin with, reaching the playoffs is above and beyond and more than what most of the fanbase expected at the beginning of the season so its been a very good season no matter what the final outcome of the playoffs.

With good recruitment and key players kept hold off no reason why Argyle wont do better next season.

Only 2 points behind FGR who were trounced 4-0 by relegation candidates Barrow. Perhaps the wheels have finally come off.

Thanks! Can't help but feel that the second part of the quote may be well wide of the mark. What Matt Taylor has done is to meld good recruitment with emerging youth. The result is a balanced squad which is difficult to break down. There is also lots of emerging talent coming up through the youth ranks, which, with experience gained from judicious loans to Conference South sides - as proved by the emergence of
Chiek Diabate and others.

If those two want to make it their buisness to see it as a big thing exeter being in the same league next season then im sure they will break the mould and cry about it but i dont think even pasoti lot will care that much (bar the ones who will use it as a excuse to coverup the fact argyle missed out on the playoffs/promotion that there are 2 derby games and the chance to go aviva and fly another plane over sid james park)
