| Mediocre end to an ultimately very disappointing season.Job done and all the rest of it as far as staying in the division is concerned but the collapse from the Northampton game onwards must set alarm bells ringing at management and board level-simply unacceptable and much work is needed to ensure significant improvement next season. Almost supernaturally similar to the collapse in Adams last season and it does make you wonder if there are structural issues regarding budgeting and the subsequent performance and consistency of incoming players-it would seem an upgrade is needed on signing players from mid table fourth division clubs and inexperienced loanees from further up the pecking order.Whether or not any increased funding is available [and clearly the collateral covid damage will have affected Argyle more than the majority of clubs in the division this season] is a matter for Messrs Hallett and Lowe to establish in the coming days-without it,then another long hard struggle would seem to be on the cards. Some would question the advisability of allowing Lowe to spend an increase in budget anyway but probably not an issue for the powers-that-be bearing in mind that Lowe has achieved a couple of prime targets in his tenancy. Early results need to be good though in order for that to remain the case, could be some uncertain times ahead. |

| Good objective overview Greenskin, next season is certainly set up to be interesting for some of the reasons you stated. |

Argyle will have lots of corners, none of which will lead to an attempt on goal, but they might notch up 8-10 shots but only two will be on target.
Afterwards Lowe will say he's proud of the boys and the effort they put in, but we were unlucky for all the goals we let in-but we did play the better football and he knows what to do different next season.
Afterwards, Earwegoagain ,Freathy and myself will slag off the Manager, others will say the manager just needs a bit more time, one more transfer window or that it doesn't matter as Brent has gone and Hallett is wonderful. Angry will demand a new defence and a defensive coach and Rickler will insult various posters, but won't comment on the game at all.
In other words, the only change will be that it's a Sunday game.
No surprise that Lowe used the usual script Bit worried that he reckons the players always gave 100%-does that include the 0-6 stuffing by Charlton? And why he is suddenly going on about the need to sign "quality"? Has he always tried to sign shyte before? Luv the quote 'players always gave 100%' - 100% of a crap player dosnt amount to much and the club has be riddled with 'em!! |

I would have had a months abuse at least if Id posted that but that is what I would say as well. In fact a few of us, yourself included, have been warning it would happen since August last year. |
