Wing-back Ryan Law has joined National League promotion hopefuls Torquay United on a one-month loan deal.
The Pilgrims’ Academy product, 21, links up with fellow Argyle prospect Adam Randell at the Plainmoor club.
Law made his debut for the Pilgrims in a 2018 EFL Trophy defeat at Newport County, before enjoying loan spells at Gloucester City and Truro City, where he won the White Tigers’ Goal of the Season and Young Player of the Season awards for 19/20.
Left-sided Law has made three starts for the Greens this season, all coming in the Papa John’s Trophy, as well as one substitute appearance, in the Pilgrims’ 3-2 victory over QPR in the Carabao Cup. Either side of a short loan spell at National League South side Chippenham Town, Law has been a regular member of the Pilgrims’ match-day squad.
Ryan Lowe said: “Ryan’s been fantastic around the place, he’s just been limited with game time. He went out on loan at Chippenham and played a few games, but we wanted to get him to National League level where we knew the season would be continuing.
“It’s a great opportunity for him to go and do what Adam Randell has done. There’s a couple of months left of the season, and I’ve said to Ryan to go out and perform to the best of his ability and show us what he’s got.
“I’m pleased for Ryan, he’s worked ever so hard to try and get himself in the first team. He’s been around the squad all season, his attitude and application have been different class, and it’s just about playing some football now – hopefully it’s a good loan spell for him.”
