| Plymouth Argyle are leading the race to sign Wolves striker Niall Ennis, according to the Sun sport writer Alan Nixon.
Ennis has spent the first half of the season on loan in League One with Burton Albion, as he looks to get regular game time under his belt away from Molineux
The 21-year-old has made 10 appearances for the Brewers in all competitions, but is yet to find the net for Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink’s side.
After failing to score in six league starts for Burton, the striker could be set to leave the Pirelli Stadium and be recalled by Wolves.
Plymouth Argyle, though, have seemingly seen enough in Ennis to want to sign him, though.
According to Alan Nixon, the Pilgrims are leading the race to sign Ennis in what would presumably been a loan deal.
Ennis has made only one senior appearance for Wolves, and finds himself way down the pecking order at Molineux at the moment.
Argyle currently sit 15th in League One, and will be hoping to climb up the table between now and the end of the season.

| I would have thought Wolves would give him a chance as they aren’t scoring that many at the moment. _______________________________________ I'm one of the common people so says the wife! | Mainly agree with Freathy although I would stick with Lowe, we have enough shit strikers for two teams we are crying out for CB's. |

| Lot of hysterical nonsense about Lowe, novice manager he'll make mistakes but for me he definitely stays, new CB required for sure and there could be a CB going out! |

| Defence has more leaks than a Welshman on St David's Day and the Manager goes after an attacking wing back and a forward who apparently couldn't score in a brothel?
Inexperienced manager or just plain not up to the job?
The really worrying thought is that the guy who has proved he can't score at this level, might well be Jephcott's replacement!
Of course, after having 2 keepers on the bench recently, perhaps the Scouse Guardiola is going to unveil another tactical masterstroke and play a 3:2:5 formation! |

If he goes , and that could be highly likely , a decent fee would be asked for him. Football is a business and Argyle would want a good deal out of it , add-ons and the like.. Jephcott is a young lad and if a Championship side came a calling then good luck to him should he fancy a crack in the second tier. He could certainly make an impact in that division. I would rather see him go to Championship than League One rivals. If he stays with Argyle though , fair shout to him. |

If he goes then we have lost the player who scored half our goals this season leading to getting in a replacement who will ineviveatably be coming back after an injury spell and certain relegation for te Greens. If we had a replacement center of defence and hung on to him he could well be playing in the CCC with us. Jephcott being sold should be met with disbelief and anger by the Green Army not meek acceptance of perineal shiteness. |

| The striker, 21, has signed for the Greens on a two-and-a-half-year deal from Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers for an undisclosed fee.
The pacey attacker, born in Wolverhampton, is a product of his home-town club’s Academy system, impressing through the youth ranks at Molineux to such an extent that top-flight giants Chelsea and Manchester United were reportedly keen on offering him his first professional deal.
Amid such interest, Wolves moved quickly to tie him down to a long-term deal in November 2015, and he was a part of the club’s 2016 pre-season training camp in Ireland, scoring after just four minutes in a friendly against Cork City.
The talented finisher, who is capped for England at under-17, under-18, and under-19 level, joined Sky Bet League One side Shrewsbury Town on a season-long loan in 2017, but a knee injury restricted him to only one appearance that campaign.
In February 2019, Niall made his Wolves first-team debut, coming off the bench in a 3-2 Emirates FA Cup fourth-round victory over his former loan side at Molineux.
Ennis signed another long-term deal with the midlands club last summer, and toured China with the first-team during Wolves' pre-season, making an appearance off the bench in a 4-0 Premier League Asia Trophy win over Newcastle United. Upon his return to England, Niall joined League One Doncaster Rovers for the 19/20 campaign.
Niall made 28 league appearances for Rovers last season, scoring six times – his first senior goal coming in spectacular fashion, from 25 yards, in a 2-1 victory over Lincoln City. Ennis spent the first half of the 20/21 season on-loan at Argyle’s League One rivals Burton Albion, where he made eight appearances in all competitions.
Niall will wear squad no.21 during the Pilgrims 20/21 Sky Bet League One campaign.
Deal subject to EFL approval.
Niall’s home and away shirts are sponsored by the Vice Presidents’ Club. |

| Sounds like a decent signing, let’s face it Mayor has set up so many passes from the by line and I can only recall Edwards scoring from one recently, Jephcott without doubt has done well but could have done better, another air kick last Saturday we should have been 3 up at half time, Hardie hasn't done so well, so yes a good CB would be a useful addition but our forwards have let us down as well. |

| sounds like a decent signing yet on paper looking at his stats nothing special certainly not seeing why janners are getting over excited.
Like with all argyle signings ill wait and see how he does over a period of time before claiming him a decent signing or going to form lethal partnerships with anyone.
Its defence that needs the money spent on it not up front we can score goals its conceding them thats the problem. |

You and some others in the Green Army never get 'it', do you? If Jephcott goes, it's because he wants to. He will want to for two reasons. More money than Argyle can pay him and the chance to play at a better level. He will go.. Sure as the sun sets in the west. Every 'good' player does. He has another season left on his contract. |
