Great. That'll leave a whole three days to get a new manager who can gel the squad into a unit that can get 20+ points from the last available 33. We are so f*cked |

And that is all it is. No chance he will walk from his contract, would you? Sacked I might believe when I see it. No way he will do the decent thing. |

| Why would fletcher resign? There's no way brent would ever sack him as it would cost money. Fletcher the clueless has got a job for life...............well at least until Argyle go bust anyway. |

He only signed a 12 month extension at the end of last season if I remember correctly. I don't recall the length of his managerial contract ever being disclosed but there might not be long to go on it. So it might be relatively cheap to get rid of him. |

| Brent through his inexperience with football has got himself into a catch-22 situation with Fletcher.
In public, he 'picked' him as one for the future, supported his appointment, and 'believes' in him.
So.. To dump him would be a massive betrayal and a huge U turn.
Yet to stick with him is obviously not plausible in the medium to long term.
It will be interesting to see how this little conundrum is resolved? |

| TBF Ricks I gave him his chance of an out at the Guildhall meet the board gig. I asked him outright if his support for Fletch was "unconditional" after he had bummed him up for his good ladishness and "potential" he had to reply that all employees performence was kept under constant review. Then qualifying that "mentoring" would be all he needed. Sean O'Driscoll was right there within his grasp at the time. |

| At a rumoured £5000 a week as per his playing contract it still would cost a fair bit to get rid. Fletcher has said before that he isn't getting paid anything over and above his playing contract to manage. In football terms, not much and cheap to get rid of. In Brent's world a kings ransom. |

| Who is adivising Brent? Well it seems you only have to walk up to him at any given game and have a chat about things. Although it probably helps more if you are his friend and have his personal email address and his mobile number on speed dial and give him lifts to games. |

| I wonder if when he builds his nice new hotel he will promote a porter from one of his other ones as manager to save money. Somehow I doubt it. Good enough for his football team though. |
