Internal figures seen by the BBC show outbound roll-on roll-off lorry traffic for Great Britain for the month so far at 98% of last February's levels.

Inbound traffic is at 99% of last year's levels.

The transition period after the UK left the EU is now over, and a new regime is in place.


But they said trade was 68% down and all we would have to eat would be turnips....

Are you sure that you aren't just so stupid that you misunderstood what was being said? I have never ever seen any minister saying that all trade relating to Brexit would be sorted out in six weeks after the final date? So far all the scare stories have proven to be false apart from the Amsterdam one and I clearly remember Boris, Gove and Hunt telling us there would be winners and losers.

As I have said before any red tape is down to the eu. This paperwork is to take goods into the eu and not to take it out of the UK.

Of course there was and as I've said before if you tried it as I did exporting cars into UK it's a feckin nightmare and was too much to make we want to attempt it again. Who's whinging PP? I more or less said what you did ie its the new reality and just for balance we have never ever had open borders with the EU. We also never had free trade for example why weren't we able to get a German mortgage at 2% when ours were at 15%? It's all a myth.

The lady presenter on Channel 5 this evening interviewed a professor Stephen Reicher who was introduced as a member of "SAGE" (the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies) whose job was to provide the scientific knowhow that the government could adopt. Initially he talked up the governments success with it's vaccination programme but thereafter just about everything was a hatchet job. I thought that this couldn't be right and so I ran a check and found out that she had failed to mention that Reicher was a member of the "INDEPENDENT" SAGE which is entirely different body of people to those of SAGE group that advises the government.

It's the way to go. I've had some deliveries from simply fish in Looe and also there is Pengelly's who have been selling fish on the quay for generations are also now doing mail order. The beauty of supporting Looe is all this fish is caught by day boats and they are struggling to keep a market open now. They have recently made a connection with Plymouth so that all their fish is sold online via Plymouth which helps but if they can increase sales direct to the customer they can actually man the market and hopefully attract more day boats to fish out of Looe. Day boat caught fish is the freshest and most sustainable you can get.
