Recently Raffled Carey Shirt now on ebay

Antoni Sarcevic recently auctioned match worn shirts, donated by the Argyle players of the 2016/17 promotion winning team and raised £10k for the NHS.

For Sawyer and Carey's shirts, a £10 raffle was held.

The guy that won the Carey shirt put it on ebay yesterday, claiming he needed the money (he put a post on pasoti saying that he needed the money to save up for buying a house- now deleted). The bid is currently over £300 [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Sarcevic has now condemned the guy on twitter (as the shirt was donated by Carey's grandad).

if he bought it fairly in a raffle is it not his right to do what he wants with it afterwards? he isnt the first to do this unfortunately wont be the last but i dont think the guy needs to bullshit about saving for a house as he wouldn't get that much for it not like carey is a well known international player.

If it meant so much to the players why did they donate them? It's out of their hands once the guy won it and he is quite possibly worse off than most of the players. Bit of perspective needed.

I wonder why Sarcavic cares so much as the second the window opens he'll be rocking a Salford City jersey. It's his shirt so he can do what he likes with it now whether that be selling it of washing his car with it. Get a grip Sarcavic.

The original raffle was the money-raising exercise for the NHS.
Once the fella owns the shirt, its entirely his business what he does with it. Let someone else enjoy the shirt- its not taking anything away from the NHS.
Sarcevic has been a very good player for Argyle this year, but he's wrong about this one.
