| Argyle's response- PLYMOUTH Argyle has implemented a number of measures in response to the EFL’s decision to suspend football activities until Friday, April 3 due to the current coronavirus epidemic. Measures include the temporary closure of Club Argyle – the Pilgrims’ brand-new hospitality and conferencing centre – as well as limiting ticketing and retail activities to telephone and online sales. All player engagements will also be suspended until further notice, with the club’s focus on ensuring that our playing squad remain in excellent physical and mental condition for when our Sky Bet League Two campaign resumes. Argyle chief executive officer Andrew Parkinson said: “We are obviously disappointed that our exciting season, on and off the pitch, needs to be temporarily suspended. However, we are supportive of the EFL’s decision, and have taken steps to follow the guidance issued early on Friday.” “We understand that our supporters will have concerns about how this news affects their tickets, hospitality and event bookings, and we will ensure to provide regular updates as the situation unfolds. “We thank you for your understanding.” With immediate effect, the club has enacted the following measures: TICKETING AND RETAIL Online ticket sales on argyletickets.com for all football fixtures will be temporarily suspended until further notice. The Home Park Ticket Office will be closed to all in-person visitors with immediate effect, until further notice. However, it will remain open to handle ticket enquiries by telephone.* The Argyle Superstore will be closed to all in-person visitors with immediate effect, until further notice. However, purchases can still be made via telephone, with orders shipped via mail. In response to the current situation, the retail team is bringing forward a previously planned project to reduce shipping charges. The club’s online retail store, argylesuperstore.co.uk, will operate as usual. *Please note that further guidance on match tickets and refunds will be available in due course. It is the club’s intention that tickets held for rearranged fixtures will remain valid. The club strongly advises that supporters retain their original match tickets. Supporters who do not retain their tickets may be unable to claim a refund. HOME PARK STADIUM/CLUB ARGYLE Existing Club Argyle hospitality reservations for first-team fixtures will remain valid for the rescheduled date. The Gary Barlow tribute night on Saturday, March 28 has been postponed. All purchased tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled event. The Question of Sport evening on Thursday, April 2 has been postponed. All purchased tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled event. All club commercial activities have been postponed until after Friday, April 3. The Mayflower Grandstand reception will remain closed until further notice. If you currently hold a reservation at Home Park Stadium for a non-matchday event, please contact [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] for more information. PLAYER ENGAGEMENTS As outlined in precautionary measures last week, the club has postponed all appearances and engagements for members of the football staff, players, and coaches, until further notice. | There's not a snowballs chance in hell this season will be completed. Suspending till April4th is just the first step. We'll still be two to three months away from the predicted peak of this outbreak at that point. By April 4th, multiple employees at every club will have it, or would have had it.
The absolute best case scenario is that possibly next seasons season can start as scheduled in August....and I reckon that's being optimistic.

Completely agree this season is over. We are on the same glide path as Italy here and people are worried about football across the country These are completely unprecedented times. Either we're effectively promoted as of now or its null and void. Theres no third option |

that would be ideal as that would allow leagues to finish up if thats possible and still have their break before the season starts. However, 2021/22 season will be a cluster feck as its starting earlier to finish earlier in order for that corrupt qatar world cup to play in the autumn so it will be a headache still as the euros will finish again very close to the start of that season. |

Either we're effectively promoted as of now or its null and void. Theres no third option Agree this season is now finished. The only real option is there is no promotion or relegation and the 4 divisions stay as they are for the 20/21 season. That what's most likely to happen. |

then do you delay the start of next season to do that? if the league starts up again after 3 weeks the teams will need to get back into shape as alot of them wont be training so had another week or two on top it makes it even more of a clusterfuck of a situation. |
