| Hopefully the recent re-vamp of the youth set up and the removal of Hodges as academy director will allow more youngsters to flourish now |

| A double for Plymouth Argyle Football Club! Congratulations Ryan Lowe and Luke Jephcott! Sky Bet League Two Manager Of The Month and Sky Bet League Two Player Of The Month!
MANAGER Ryan Lowe and striker Luke Jephcott have swept the board in January's Sky Bet League Two awards. Lowe and Jephcott have won the Manager and Player of the Month awards respectively for the opening month of 2020, when scintillating form propelled the Greens into the Sky Bet League Two promotion places. It is Ryan's first Manager of the Month accolade during his tenure at Home Park, occurring after his third consecutive nomination - although he did win three monthly awards last season during Bury's promotion campaign at the same level. The Greens collected a division-leading 13 points from six games in January, netting 14 times in the process, losing only once - a narrow defeat on New Year's Day to league leaders Swindon Town. Luke overcame stiff competition from EFL stalwarts like Ollie Palmer and Nicky Adams to win the individual accolade after a quite incredible month. The Pilgrims' academy graduate was recalled from his loan spell at Southern League Premier side Truro City and immediately thrust into the starting line-up for the Greens' trip to Scunthorpe United on January 4. He marked his first competitive start under Lowe with a brace - his first goals in professional football. Incredibly, he followed this a week later with another pair at Carlisle United, before bagging his first league goal at Home Park against Crawley Town - taking his tally for the month to five goals. Luke's goals contributed to a superb month of results for Lowe and his side - who have made a superb start to life in 2020. |

| Excellent stuff - they both deserve it, Jephers certainly looks very proud, let's hope the good start to the season can be topped off with promotion out of the basement. |

| LUKE Jephcott has been voted the League Two PFA Bristol Street Motors Fans’ Player of the Month by football fans across the country. In a vote run by fan engagement experts, Snack Media, the Argyle forward won with 24% of the vote for January, with Oldham Athletic’s Jonny Smith coming close in second place with 23%. In the fourth of five divisional votes carried out over eleven days via Snack’s digital and social networks and supported by top flight football clubs and press, it was clear that the Welshman’s strong performances over the last month – in which he scored five goals - has resonated not just with fans on the south coast, but with supporters of all teams. The full list of contenders from the final shortlist polled were as follows: • Luke Jephcott (Plymouth Argyle) - 24% • Jonny Smith (Oldham Athletic) – 23% • Nathan Thomas (Carlisle United) – 21% • Ollie Palmer (Crawley Town) – 12% • Nicky Adams (Northampton Town) - 11% • Jonny Maxted (Exeter City) – 8% The WSL vote opens at 3pm on Friday 7th February. | I'm made up for the boy and congratulations to Lowe as well an absolutely cracking month for us. I also echo what's been said about the youth set up previously it's massively important for Argyle to be the first team any talented young lad should look at in the West Country whilst we've been beaten to many a young player by the scum up the road because we have been concentrating on selling football courses in the summer holidays instead of running a proper youth setup. |
