Been to our local Sainsbury's and no bog roll and some pasta.

Some woman had the arse with me for taking 3 bags of pasta and wanted to know how I could justify taking 3 when it was in short supply.
I told her my wife was Italian and cooked it every day and we had 6 kids ( wife is from SE London/ Kent, has Irish roots and we have 2 kids.)

That shut the stupid nosey bitch up!

I expect the 7% will be of people with the virus not net population. Sri Lanka have banned on arrival visas now. I know a few people over here who were planning to extend theirs as you only get month at a time will be interesting to see whether they are sent home or whether it's safer to stay?

I ask because Thailand has cabinet meeting tomorrow with a recommendation for bar/entertainment places closed and also extending the banned list as regards foreign nationals of which we'll be top of the list for sure with cases out of control

I'm still here. I had four destinations - one of which was Dubai who from 17th March will stop issuing visas. All flights were thru Emirates so the whole thing is panned now anyway. Tbh the way things are escalating here I'd have no chance of flying out anyway very soon.

Tbh holidays should be pretty low down on peoples list of priorities at the moment. Of bigger concern today are the Sunday opening hours, a smaller window of opportunity for us to hoover up another boot full of toilet roll.

There are 19 cases of covid in SL now. 18 from Italy one from China. Yesterday some waiters started wearing masks by this morning they are wearing them around their necks. Bash Boris by all means but Italies response has been poor.

Obviously the Boris bashers would prefer to live under some sort of military dictatorship like Italy or Spain were you get koshed over the swede if you have the audacity to step outside your front door without 79 forms of written authority to do so. No thanks, we need to try to carry on as reasonably normal as we can until/unless that becomes impossible.
