ARGYLE manager Ryan Lowe has been nominated for the Sky Bet League Two Manager of the Month award for the second month in succession.
After just missing out on the November prize, it is fantastic testament to the sparkling form of the Pilgrims that has taken us back into the play-off positions following the 3-1 success at Scunthorpe United on Saturday.
This December nomination stems from the home wins over Morecambe and Stevenage at Home Park, as well as the excellent 1-0 victory at high-flying Cheltenham Town on Boxing Day. Good luck gaffer.
The full list of nominees is detailed below and the winner will be announced on Friday morning.
Ryan Lowe (Plymouth Argyle)
Argyle ended the year with three successive league victories to move into the play-off positions with games in hand. A nine-point haul from four fixtures suggests he has found the blend to match his Bury side from last season.
John McGreal (Colchester United)
Colchester matched goals for points in December with 11 of each from five unbeaten games as they climbed into the play-off places. McGreal finally seems to have instilled a winning consistency in his talented side of youngsters.
Matt Taylor (Exeter City)
As impressive as the attacking intent of his team is their ability to rescue points from unpromising positions. They did it again, recovering from 3-0 down to draw with Walsall and collect 11 points from five unbeaten games.
Richie Wellens (Swindon Town)
Backed by the goals of Eoin Doyle, Wellens’ side continued to march forward at the head of League Two with 10 points from five games. Grimsby Town, Oldham Athletic and Cambridge United were despatched by a combined 9-0 aggregate.
