| THE EFL have just released further information regarding Saturday's Sky Bet League Two game at Macclesfield Town.
An EFL spokesman said:
“Due to Macclesfield Town having been served a zero capacity notice by the local Safety Advisory Group yesterday, the club is now required as a matter of urgency to address all outstanding matters.
“Only resolving these issues will allow the match with Plymouth Argyle to take place with spectators given access in the stadium. It is understood some progress is being made.
“The EFL, however, has reminded [Macclesfield] of its obligations once again in respect of ensuring it fulfils its fixture commitments and, given the outcome of yesterday’s hearing decision, the consequences for failure to meet those requirements will be significant.
“The League will continue its discussions with the club as it attempts to provide absolute clarity for Macclesfield Town fans and in advance of Plymouth Argyle and its supporters, who are finalising their preparations for the game. |

| Tickets sales suspended
Further to issues regarding our ground safety certificate, Macclesfield Town are desperately trying to get these resolved ahead of tomorrow's Sky Bet League Two clash with Plymouth Argyle. We fully accept that this is far from ideal - especially for those Plymouth fans who have a gargantuan trek ahead of them so close to Christmas. As a result of the above, ticket sales for tomorrow's game have been suspended until we gain further clarity regarding this situation. In addition, we are in constant communication with the EFL regarding this matter and our efforts relating to it. We unreservedly apologise for this and will provide a further update as soon as we possibly can |

| Macclesfield Town are awaiting a decision from East Cheshire Council to have their capacity reinstated. The club has provided the relevant documentation for 5 key areas to meet the safety certificate requirements. |

| Had to be Argo caught up in this shambles. Presumably the team is already up there sat in their hotel not knowing whether they'll be travelling back tomorrow morning or not. A lot of fans probably cancelling plans to travel tonight and tomorrow AM. Also a lot of fans will be en route or already up there without any clue what is going on. What a mess. |

nahhhh they will look to reschedule it probabaly for a tuesday night again. At least they announced it now rather than waited till the morning after some have set off. 2 games in hand that could come in handy if we make them count

| THE postponement of the Pilgrims' Sky Bet League Two game at Macclesfield Town this weekend leaves Argyle without a game until Boxing Day.
Saturday's match at Moss Rose was called off by the EFL on Friday evening amid safety concerns.
The Pilgrims' next game is at Cheltenham Town on Thursday, December 26 (3pm).
As a small gesture of thanks to the Green Army whose plans to support Ryan Lowe and the team have been thwarted, we are offering everyone who bought a ticket for the match a 10% discount in the Argyle Superstore or on 'phone retail orders.
Supporters seeking a refund for their Macclesfield match-ticket and coach-ticket should return either or both to the Home Park Ticket Office as soon as possible.
The ticket office is open between 10am-1pm on Saturday, and from 9am-5pm on Monday.
Regrettably, a match-ticket cannot be refunded without the ticket.
Supporters can contact the Home Park Ticket Office on 01752 907700. |

Macclesfield will have been taken over by then and probably strengthened in January and will be well equipped to thrash us 4-0. The twats should be docked 20 points for this. |

| BUT!!!! The Macclesfield chairman says its on ??? I am aware of press releases which suggest that tomorrow's game against Plymouth Argyle has been postponed. I would like to state that we have never asked the EFL to play the game behind closed doors and as far as I am are concerned, the game will be played as scheduled. | What a mess, so we'll need to schlep all the way up there again for a re-arranged midweek midwinter slog, not ideal is it. At least Lowey has a free weekend to visit Liverpool/family at this time of year I suppose. |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] If the EFL says its off then they cant go ahead and still play the game cause they havent sanctioned it nor are Argyle going to still travel there to play them. This chairman seems another dale to me. |
