"Chernobyl" HBO Mini Series

Watched all 5 episodes on a flight few days ago simply the very best dramatisation series I have ever seen in my life
Absolutely brilliant. I think it was broadcast on Sky Atlantic earlier this year

If you haven't seen it set a few hours aside. The final episode and the on screen credits at the end which depicted what had happened subsequently to all the lead characters nearly moved me to tears. Breathtaking stuff

To this day the Soviets only claim their were just 31 deaths.

Seen it quality series. My next watch is going to be the Irishman

I was a teenager in 1986 and definitely part of the 'Protect and Survive' generation that always had the background thought we were going to be obliterated in a nuclear war. Little did we know it was a dodgy nuclear power plant and Soviet inertia that came closest to finishing us all off.

I've not seen the series yet, but this is a good read.
