Them, Walsall and Morecambe are awful.

So might get lucky.

I know I'm only observing from 'highlights' these days but my gut feeling is that Lowe will get them purring with a few more decent additions, particularly at the back.

Stick Gary Johnson into the Morecambe role without the fat playing budget he enjoys now and he'll be equally as shit. I doubt Adams is on anything near the £4k a week Johnson is on at the Turks.

Where does this figure come from? TBH I find it hard to believe that about 25% of their TOTAL wage budget is spunked on Johnson.

From just about every Turk fan I've spoken too. First learned the level of his remuneration from a number of fans in the boots and laces bar before their home game against Chelmsford last season.
Nobody drops down two flights into a part time league unless there's something very tempting on the table for them.
At ths start of last season there was an article in the NLP about Billericay having a weekly wage budget of £30k , and it noted that Torquay had the next highest of £19.5K, do there was definitely serious cash in the Turks pot. Crazy for a part time league where an average player is on about £400pw

Sorry but that is just ludicrous. Tisdale was widely known to be one of the best paid managers in the lower leagues when at Exeter and he was on £150,000 a year. There is no chance Johnson is on 4k a week.

This interview is very similar to the ones he did at Argyle- cliche ridden, lots of erms, not very inspiring.

I'm surprised he got the job over Adams.

Perryman was also on a fair whack too at the Greeks so the aggregate cost of the management team there would have been more that what Johnson and Jones are on combined at the Turks. Kind of levels itself out.

And where exactly are the Turks finding a league 1/2 budget from?

If you think 4K a week in 2018 in Conference South is ludicrous. Andy Hessenthaler was on £2.5K pw in 2007 when he joined Dover in Ryman League division one South (step 8 )
Naturally he got them out of their in his first season and straight out of the Ryman Premier the next season into Conference South where he signed a new deal on £3.25k pw. After that he returned to Gillingham where he would have been on considerably more, so it puts any comments about £4k pw in Conference South being ludicrous into touch.
Margate had a stint in Conference South and Terry Brown was tempted in by the offer of £2k a week to manage a part time side. Big money in the lower leagues is now the norm, though it's rarely a ticket to a fast track route to the EFL, just ask the likes of Billericay, Margate, Whitehawk who tried to chuck millions at it and fail. Only Salford have ever managed it in recent years. You will be able to add AFC Fylde to the failed list very soon I expect.

Don't know how much Reid is on but must be good enough for him to turn down offers from EFL clubs. The playing budget is chunky at the Turks too as well as the management budget.

Carl is better a coach in a youth setup than he is first team management. He ought to think about staying at that level once leyton bin him.

Perryman was on about 25K a year as a DoF.
