| The Pilgrims' boss has been frustrated by his side's inconsistent results so far this season
Ryan Lowe has warned his Plymouth Argyle players he will look to move them on in the January transfer window unless performances and results improve.
Lowe admitted that could apply to signings he made over the summer, as well as other members of the squad he inherited after being appointed as manager in June.
The Pilgrims’ boss spoke out in the heat of the moment after his side threw away a win against Scunthorpe United at Home Park on Saturday.
Leading 2-1 deep into stoppage time, Argyle conceded a ‘route one’ equaliser from the Iron which infuriated Lowe.
The result leaves the inconsistent Pilgrims in 12th place in League Two with four wins, four draws and four defeats.
Lowe said: “At the end of the day, you can’t keep conceding goals. We know that, and it has been a bit of an issue.
“I will make sure I put that right. I can’t put it right just yet. I have got players who may be ready to step back in.
“In terms of come January, if they are not performing they can move on. Whether you have just come or not, it doesn’t matter, and that’s right the way up the pitch.
“I know I will have the backing to bring people in, and I will certainly have to manoeuvre to get people out.
“Unfortunately, with the journey we want to go on, at this moment in time there are not many people that are coming on that journey with us.
“They need to have a good look at themselves because we are doing everything we possibly can to make sure that it’s put right.”
Argyle trailed early on against Paul Hurst’s Scunthorpe but close-range goals from defender Will Aimson in the 18th and 76th minutes put them into a winning position.
Lowe said: “I drummed it into the players all week that they (Scunthorpe) were going to come and fight for the manager.
“He’s a good guy, a good manager and he’s a leader. They have got some terrific players.
I just thought we looked a little bit lethargic all over the park but, again, that’s down to us to sort out.
“Did they press enough what we would like them to? Probably not.
“Did they give them a little bit too much time? Yeah. Could we have scored a couple more goals? Yeah.
“They (his players) were definitely up for the game. When you come to Home Park and there is 10,000 here why wouldn’t you be?
I just felt our decision making, the right runs, the right crosses and the right passes weren’t there today.”
Lowe added: “In terms of going on a (winning) run, will that happen? Yeah, it will at some point.
“We are ready to give a team a grilling in goals because I think we are creating that many chances and they are just not going in.
“But, for me, I don’t use excuses. You have got to make sure you put the ball in the net.”

Plenty of lower clubs would want them, whether they'd pay anything for them though is another matter. |

| Signed eleven players now wants yet more money to sign another wodge wtf!! when a manager publicly slates his squad it usually means he's floundering and the end is near. |

| RL did say in his latest statement that he will be backed by the board in January, I think that may be true under SH, and unless we are in the bottom three or four I think there is very little chance of Hallett wielding the axe on Lowe. As Harve said it hasn't helped that Lowe has come in and over hyped his abilities and the squad. |

What did anybody expect him to say? I'm aiming for promotion, obviously, we have a great squad, what else could he say? I'm happy with the budget, again what else could he say? I got slagged for calling it right at the start of the season, not only has everybody taken the new mangers words as gospel instead of the news bytes that they were no one has allowed for the Brent hangover and massive losses the club have been making, some reality needed and more of blaming Brent. He is still the problem. |

Too many people have expected Lowe to change the team and deal with the Brent hangover, over night. its gonna take time, But then if you've spun a broken record 45 games a season, or have hyper knee jerk syndrome after 14 games, you obviously don't have the patience for that. |
