| Plymouth Argyle's on-loan striker Zak Rudden has returned to Glasgow Rangers to have a knee injury assessed, Plymouth Live understands.
The 19-year-old is absent from the Pilgrims' squad for the League Two game against Cheltenham Town at Home Park this afternoon.
Rudden was used as a late substitute in the 2-2 draw away to Crawley Town on Tuesday night.
The Scotland under-19 international striker signed for Argyle last month on a loan deal until January.
He had not taken part in any of the pre-season for Rangers due to a knee injury, |

Good PR move to help sell expensive season tickets, was probably the main reason. |

| If he was injured then it was silly to bring him in. We would be lynching del bhey if he had done that......again!!!
so we are down 3 strikers who are injured, 2 gone out on loan more than likely one will be recalled now leaving us with lolos who still developing his game, joel grant who is not a striker and ryan taylor who himself is injury prone with a glass ankle and certainly will be shown the door in january cause he isnt performing.
how is it realistic to expect 20+ goals from each striker? |

| As I said
Rudden, who signed on loan for Argyle last month, missed all of pre-season at Rangers due to a torn meniscus in one of his knees, but his latest issue is an unrelated one.
He said: “With all due respect to us, Rangers are a bigger club than us and they have got the best facilities.
“We felt that we needed to respond with them and both come to a mutual agreement that he goes up there to get his knee checked, which is the right thing.
“They have got the top physios and fitness coaches and scans, and everything else, so he has gone up there to see their doctor because he was struggling with his knee.
“I felt ‘Look, if he’s struggling there is no point’. We were going to get him looked at down here because we have a duty of care of him.
“But they (Rangers) said ‘No, send him to us, we will address it’. They dealt with the injury what he had before he came to us.”
Lowe confirmed the problem with Rudden’s knee was different to the previous issue.
He said: “The knee is fine. He’s struggling with something at the back of it so they are going to address it because he’s their player.
“Hopefully we will get some good news on that Monday that it’s not too bad.”
