According to the local rag we've signed a striker. Currently "waiting for paperwork to through", the football world is unique in that it still relies on the fax to transmit documents.

Ryan Lowe has confirmed that Plymouth Argyle have signed a new striker today - but he is not ready to name the new recruit just yet.
Lowe is waiting until all the paperwork has been completed until commenting on the deal further.

The Pilgrims' boss made the revelation this morning during his pre-match Press conference for the League Two game against Walsall at Home Park on Saturday.
Lowe said: "We have signed a player today. We are just waiting for the paperwork to go through, so I can't obviously give his name until then.

Let's hope he's a big target man we could slot him right in at centre back.

Who the hell is paying for this! Does Hallett have a money tree as he’s going to need one. It seems we are gambling on promotion. Cue all the thumbs down, mainly by kids I suspect, who wouldn’t know of our previous problems. And the few that don’t care. Bolton and Bury are clear examples of overspending.

In the Erald today, obviously still some Brentophiles around.

Somone has insight commenting on the rags Danny Salman 'anti Brent story'

How stupid can some people be! Brent has a track record of delivering nothing. He was to renovate Oldway Mansion in Paignton 7 years ago. He was to rebuild the Pavilions in Plymouth. He won the contract to turn the civic centre into a hotel. And not forgetting the refurbishment of the grandstand. Argyle have completed their home fixtures yet there is no evidence of any work commencing. As a council taxpayer I feel he has robbed me. To date nothing, repeat, nothing has been done. Just because his football manager has won a few games, doesn’t alter the fact that the Plymouth people have been taken for mugs. I’m fuming.

ARGYLE are delighted to announce the signing of Scottish youth international striker Zak Rudden on an initial sixth-month loan from Rangers.

Zak, 19, is highly thought of at Ibrox by manager Steven Gerrard and the backroom staff. He successfully spent the whole of season on loan at Falkirk, scoring 12 goals in 31 appearances in the Scottish Championship.

Boasting international pedigree, he has been capped by Scotland for the U16s, U17s and U19s. Zak’s ability to find the back of the net has been equally evident for his country – especially for the U19s, scoring six goals in 14 appearances.

He has form against the Pilgrims’ first-team manager, Ryan Lowe, too, having netted in a 6-0 pre-season friendly victory over Lowe’s previous side, Bury, last season.

Welcome to Home Park, Zak.

The deal for Zak Rudden is subject to the receipt of international clearance.
