| League 2 standard whatever you do don't lose tactics, we can expect much more of it. A bit of a worry is that whilst we had 73% possession they had one more shot than us. |

| New football family shocker as Ryan Lowe's Argyle slip below Exeter after fine start to season ends in defeat at Newport. |

This is a disaster, bring back Adams and Brent, before it to late. |

| it does slightly worry me that we still struggle against shit teams even under a new manager. Cant win them all and im glad we lost now and not in 12 games time so we can iron out these flaws early on and not get too big headed like some fans have after winning 2 in arow. |

| Was there today but not too bothered.
Newport fans reacting as if they had just won the Champions League, I'll take that as a complement. |

| Yeah 3 wins from 3 league games and round one of the League cup is a cracking start. Think we all would've taken that before the season started?
We won't win every game and we had Moore and Grant out too. |

| Byron Moore sat out Plymouth Argyle’s 1-0 League Two defeat away to Newport County because of a tight hamstring.
Pilgrims’ boss Ryan Lowe decided not to take any risks with the 30-year-old attacker so he did not travel with the rest of the squad to south Wales.
It meant Argyle were without both of their strikers who had started their previous two league games.
Joel Grant was also absent at Newport as he missed his second match since he suffered a minor hamstring tear in the 1-0 home win against Colchester United the Saturday before.
Argyle’s strikeforce against Newport were Ryan Taylor and Dom Telford but they found it hard going against County’s strong defence.
Lowe said: “Joel is not far away. He’s doing quite well in his recovery. Byron Moore, we just left him at home.
“He just felt he had a little bit of a tight hamstring and I’m very cautious that I don’t want to be risking anyone for long periods in time.
“It’s not worth it if there is some sort of niggle. We will get some results on him and see where he is Monday morning.”
Taylor and Telford missed most of Argyle’s pre-season games because of ankle and thigh injuries respectively.
So it means all four of Lowe’s main strikers have had fitness issues over the past month, which is far from ideal.
Another forward, Calum Dyson, has also left the club by mutual consent after struggling with an ankle problem over recent months.
Meanwhile, Lowe is still working away on adding one more player to his Argyle squad.
He has until September 2, which is the deadline for League One and League Two clubs to make any further signings, either permanent deals or on loan.
Lowe said: “We are looking for one more player. We are in conversation, we are in discussions.
“But, again, as I always say, other clubs not just Plymouth Argyle are after players. There are plenty of others.
“We feel we are on the right track, we feel we are progressing well with that extra player we want in and hopefully we can have something done next week.”
hen asked by Plymouth Live whether he was trying to bring in another striker, Lowe replied: “We are looking for an attacking player.
“It doesn’t necessarily mean he’s going to be a striker but we are looking for one more attacking player.
“I feel we are quite comfortable now with the back lads, and with the midfielders. I think we are way comfortable in there.”
In defence, Will Aimson is now training fully after a pre-season pelvic problem, while Josh Grant has arrived on loan from Chelsea until January. |

We won't win every game and we had Moore and Grant out too. 2 wins out of 3 league games mook, 2 wins this isnt the piggery we dont change facts here lol still a good start though certainly better than the usual starts we make.
