I did like the farm comment that if Brent didn't step in, we could have ended up with a Risdale; when Brent continued to employ Risdale for us (when he took over), and if risdale didn't have a better offer from Preston would have stayed with us- the great bloke who paid himself £25k for a couple of week's work selling bolasie, mason and noone on the cheap.

James Brent's History with our club tends to be reworded into a good story that gets told over and over until we forget that its a lie. Brent wasnt the only one to bid for us there were several, his bid got turned down flat before the truro owner at the time and his gang got exclusive rights. It was due to nool, plebb, de liar and co who pretty hounded off the other bidders and left only brent that his laughable bid got accept at a second attempt.
Brent bought the club for the car park a we all saw he wasnt at all interested in the footballl side which would explain why most of that clusterfuck 1 was geared around corporate buisnesses and not the stand. clusterfuck 2 is the same.

Good riddance to the asset stripping limpet. A new dawn for PAFC and hopefully a steady rise up the footballing pyramid on and off the field.

Great day for Argyle. As Freathy points out all this year on year progress is bollocks he left us where he found us in league 2. His whole tenure was based on lies, reluctant bidder, bollocks, he was planning this with his five directions mate who then worked for PCC because PCC needed to relocate the ice rink. The wife shagger and Newell were given the keys to the sweetshop for acting as his goon squad, bursting into meetings of other prospective buyers who are then written out of the history books. Brent was looking out for Brent period. And let's not forget that despite Postey uligising about Brent being the only choice he and his shite Vital football site was very anti Brent and pro Buttivant (believe it or not another bidder) and lets not forget Heaney actually paid the receivers opening the way up for Brent and his crew of arselickers to march forward with their TINA banners held high. Then let's not forget the Brexit like divisions Brent has opened among the fan base, instead of reaching out to disgruntled fans and realising their very real concerns for the future of a hemmed in ground with a tiny new stand he was happy to socialise with Nool in return for Nool and the gang painting anybody who disagreed with the asset strip as freaks and wierdos who had an agenda. We are actually the true fans and they can all go feck themselves with the odious speccy wanker. One last point to remember is that if Brent wasn't an incompetent fool we would now have a national car parks multi storey where the free parking is now, we would have a capacity of about 12k with his mini stand with several fast food outlets under the stand with all the profits going to Brent and not PAFC, the corners would be filled for evermore with a school and dentists, there would be a hotel and multiplex cinema surrounding the rest of the ground and nothing, nada, zilch in the way of revenue would be coming to PAFC. The fact that his asset strip failed doesn't mean he is a good guy he's a feckin leech and good riddance. The King is dead, Long live the King!

If I really believed that threads should be closed I'd suggest it after earwigs brilliant post above where he absolutely nails it, as I a talent show judge might say.
I'd really love one of the Brent glitterati to actually say what Brent has done for Argyle past the well-worn bollox of ee saved uzz. Proper concrete things that have pushed us forward or made us a better club.
Every chairman we've ever had has got something positive about their legacy, however minuscule we argue it might have been. I just don't see it with Brent, 'messiahs' are supposed to have something about them. Go on believers tell us what else it is that makes him so special. Here's your chance - write the history you'd have us to change us doubters.

There was also the blanket refusal to pay for anything with his own money.
Unsecured creditors, administrators, wageless staff , academy, Ladies team, ground maintenance, professional fees, £10 million mini stand. He even bought the club with someone elses money. Yet despite all this unchecked gratitude, we are right back where we started. In the basement
Say all you like about Dan McCauley but at least he paid for things himself

I hope he enjoys just being a fan. Thank you James"

Anyone checked on Nool, not swinging from a tree on the golf course is he ?
There aren't any trees up there. Certainly none strong enough.
Hopefully, SH has a walleted investor in the frame, or at least in his mind.

Sums up Brent for me- he could teach the Glazers a thing or two about buying a football club without it costing you a penny. And as a lesson in controlling the media, his use of a couple of stooges (he's too tight to have three stooges) was brilliant-get a couple of nobodies who long to be somebodies and promise them a few trinkets and they take all the flak and sway public opinion to believe the unbelievable- so many lies became truths (no one else interested in the club, etc etc) to get Brent what he wanted, with only a few people(all now banned by a n other website) asking the questions that needed to be asked.

Word coming out at Bury’s end that this has involved a £150k compo payment.
If this is true, and it has taken that sort of payment to land our No1 target, I really cannot remember the last time Argyle showed that sort of ambition.

Certainly brightened up the day. Talking of shysters, Brent was one of the best in how to live a wealthy life style whilst having nothing of any significance. Unfortunately I don't think he will be gone for good, at least not any time soon, as he still owns the land behind the ground that he stole from the club. Hopefully that prick of a president will be gone soon as well as the pig and his brood of piglets so the club can move forward. Out of interest, does anyone know if Brent sold the land behind the ground, would the ice rink still be a requisite? Would he get away without building it whilst still having the pavillions? Would the new owner have to build it? Personally I hope he leaves the city for good, Exeter is a much better place for him.

Brent has to provide 'continuous ice' - the rink can be built anywhere in the city boundary. I suspect a possible attempt to 'blackmail' PCC and threaten to hold up the boulevard unless the Pavillion ice rink can be demolished without building a replacement.

Let's not forget those who associated themselves with the parasite be exonerated from their crimes.
Post Brent there should be a type of Nuremberg Trials where the likes of Newell, Webb, Josh pope and other related stooges answer to their crimes.
A fitting punishment would be a 'walk of atonement' around the pitch in August at the first home game.
