Something to take your minds off no manager, No Argyle and no football, (Apart from cricket for some Very Happy )

Argyle Media

@Only1Argyle

WE are delighted to announce the opening of the largest poll yet to find the greatest ever Pilgrims over the 133 years of our proud Plymouth Argyle history.

Sponsored by the Big Green Lottery, our summer vote will be all down to the Green Army, as we seek to find the top 25 Pilgrims in every position.

In the event of a player who has represented Argyle in multiple positions, we will decide the position in which they had more prominence during their Pilgrim career. There are no limits to the vote, as we seek a spread of Green legends throughout the history of our football club.

To give you some help along the way, we highly recommend the superb Greens on Screen as a resource to search for players and managers.

The poll will be divided into the seven categories below and voting is very simple: just send us an email to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] listing your top five in each of the positions below.

Alternatively, please just complete this Google form to submit your vote.

Greatest Pilgrim Categories
Goalkeeper
Full-back
Centre-back
Winger
Centre-midfield
Striker
Manager

Once we receive your top five from each position, points will be allocated as follows to each nominee.

Scoring
First choice: 10 points
Second choice: 7 points
Third choice: 5 points
Fourth choice: 3 points
Fifth choice: 1 point

The vote is now open and will run through the summer. Once the results have been counted, we will then reveal the top 25 in each position and the Green Army will be given the opportunity to purchase collectable cards from this definitive list.

There will be different closing dates for each category, as we unveil the winners through the summer. The closing dates are listed below.

Goalkeeper: Friday, June 7 @ 9am
Full-back: Friday, June 14 @ 9am
Centre-back: Friday, June 21 @ 9am
Winger: Friday, June 28 @ 9am
Centre-midfield: Friday, July 5 @ 9am
Striker: Friday, July 12 @ 9am
Manager: Friday, July 19 @ 9am

Vote now by contacting [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The Greatest Pilgrims are sponsored by the Big Green Lottery. Sign up to the lottery for chances to win weekly cash prizes, a monthly prize of £500, the annual draw of £12,000 spread across ten finalists and monthly bonus prizes.

The Big Green Lottery raises valuable funds for the Argyle Academy, including the purchase of a new minibus for our young stars last year. At present, our BGL membership stands at 650 and our aim is to reach 1,000 members, which would effectively triple the quarterly donations to the Argyle Academy.
