I heard from a friend who usually has good info that the holdup is that the Bury chairman wants a load of dosh to release him yet Argyle are thinking they'd rather pay fook all hence the wait. Who knows?

Same chairman that's possibly breached the terms of Lowe's contract by not paying him....

In that case then he may even be threatening to withhold the money if Lowe takes the job?

Other thing to take into account this is a big move for a young family to take , even before you say they haven't paid Ryan for 3 months

We've had top players and managers here over the years, I don't buy into the location thing, shore it's an issue but the amateur ness of modern day Argyle is a much bigger factor IMO.

There’s pretty much a no more nomadic profession than being a footballer/manager. But where you actually travel to depends massively on how high your stock is. In lower league management terms Lowes stock is high, so he can almost afford to be a bit more picky geographically. There’s no end of (largely shite) candidates that’d walk to Plymouth if they were offered the job. But it does seem that all our eggs are in a Lowe-shaped basket at the minute.

That said, the club have kept s tight ship as far as leaks go. Apart from Lowe where the leak came from a northern newspaper, there has been absolutely Jack shit in terms of genuine word coming out from inside sources. If it ain’t Lowe pretty soon, I reckon we could end up with a total Leftfield candidate.

Flynn is newport born n bread and a big fan he' be harder to prize away than time wasting lowe especially as newport are in the same league so hes not moving up the career ladder is he.

If he wanted to leave he.d probably want a club in league one/championship more importantly a club with ambition. We have none of the latter nor giving the impression the new boss has money to spend.

Lowe lives in the middle of a soccer heartland. If he wants a job, he could well have the pick of half a dozen clubs commutable from his current location.

Flynn is currently in a good situation- he can sit tight where he is flavour of the month and wait for the right job to become available -why risk that by uprooting and taking a step into the unknown-anything less than promotion at Argyle and his reputation is shot.
