| Whilst we dither having refused Holloways demands other teams are agreeing pre contract deals for players once contracts terminate at the end of next month. Anyone who thinks Argyle will be in the top 6 from the off next season are deluded (none here I acknowledge)

| It does look like hallett is going cheap which will make it very difficult to attract anyone of L2 standard. Would not surprise me at all if Nancekevill was given the job full time.
We'll be shit again next season for sure flirting with the bottom 2 places at times but over the season not quite shit enough for relegation out of the football league. |

| I'm not a fan of bringing any ex manager back to Home Park, they are all like ex girlfriends carrying little niggles and gripes from when it went wrong before, it will never last. |

| Plymouth Argyle chairman Simon Hallett has confirmed that interviews for a new manager have taken place.
The club have been in need of a new boss since dismissing Derek Adams following the 5-1 defeat to Accrington Stanley at the end of April.
Hallett revealed that interviews took place on Friday, May 17, whilst speaking at a meeting with the Plymouth Argyle Supporters Association London Branch on the same evening.
He also admitted that other clubs were involved in the process, with a number of those linked to the role already employed at a club.
During the meeting Hallett said he was surprised by the quality of applicants but also admitted that some were not willing to totally relocate to Plymouth.
He also revealed that the new boss would not be offered a five-year deal, like Adams had been given. |

| I don’t particularly want Holloway back. Nothing to do with what happened last time round but because I think he hasn’t the desire anymore. _______________________________________ I'm one of the common people so says the wife! Thats the thing if he's been offered it and turned it down cause of money, he's still choosing the money over the desire of doing well |

| For once I agree Graiser we don't know, I'm thinking maybe tomorrow or Tuesday for managerial announcement, given Hallett has said all the interviews are completed, also makes sense not to rush this. |

| I doubt money (manager's wage) is an issue but what being the manager actually means might be. Del became responsible for all things football, all the 'wonderful things off the pitch the fans don't see' type stuff that went way beyond managing the 1st team, with only Wotts & Nance to help him. I wouldn't be surprised if this dragged on with 'relocation' becoming the common excuse. |

A very good point, we don't know as speculating supporters, what contractual conditions and responsibilities are being offered to the candidates by Community Si and the hapless board. |

| What we are sure about from the PASALB meeting is that....
1.....No more five year contracts.
2.....That Adams had too much autonomy and that will change with a new manager.
This guaranteed by the man himself.....Simon Hallett. |

| Five year contract was the Brent way. Tbf no business Brent has ever run has lasted more than a few years (Argyle aside) so he probably never expected to honour it in full. |

Exactly, what publicity has he had lately, none apart from when he mentioned us on talksport after Celtics manager went to Leicester and lately with the last game shoot out adams replacement situation. When will these dim sheep janners learn, He used us before, he's using us to be relevant again , He has no interest in the club only himself. soon as he gets a better offer, he will feck off again, because he's only interested in the money. Insert File photo of Hollowords following the money here [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]All this put things right shit is bullshit, if he was so popular for work he wouldn't be working on talksport or trying to manufacture interest in himself on Instagram. Hallett needs to unite the fans, not divide them further , So many things have divided the fan base. 7 years of Brent his protector over on the farm and other clingons. The bs on here nothings happening on the grandstand its stalled etc. Having Adams as a manager on a 5 year deal, those who wanted him to stay etc. Hallett getting tarred with the same brush as Brent Then those who take glee at the state of the club. Appointing Hollowords will just further deepen these divides. Cause at the first game half of the ground will want him out, the rest will be on their knees ready to service him orally, |

wiki link Herald have finally caught on With Plymouth Argyle's search for a new manager continuing to gather pace, a new name has emerged among the frontrunners to succeed Derek Adams at Home Park. Brian Wake is a relative unknown on these shores and even as a player, the 36-year-old's career was spent in lower and non-League with the likes of Carlisle United, Gretna and Scarborough before a spell north of the border with Hamilton Academical and Greenock Morton. A further year at Gateshead ensued before the Stockton-on-Tees man crossed the North Sea and spent some time in Sweden in 2011 playing for Ostersunds FK. He also represented Umea and Ytterhogdals IK before turning his attention to coaching. Wake is now the third favourite - behind Bury boss Ryan Lowe and Newport County chief Michael Flynn - to take over from Adams in an ever-changing market. He is priced at 6/1 with Sky Bet , along with Bristol Rovers boss Graham Coughlan. Wake has certainly been in Plymouth over the weekend, most likely for an interview, and posted a picture on his social media account Twitter of Platters on the Barbican, where he had a meal on Sunday. But was his 'decisions, decisions' tweet the previous day in reference to him being offered a role at Home Park, or merely what to have as his main meal? Wake joined Ostersunds in June 2018 after their then manager, Graham Potter, quit for Swansea City. At the time, the club were on a high, having enjoyed great success by going on a superb run in the Europa League that season, which was ultimately ended by Arsenal. The Swedish side lost the first leg 3-0 at home, but gave the multi-millionaires and their manager, Arsene Wenger, an almighty scare by leading the second leg 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium before a Saed Kolasinac goal saw the Gunners through 4-2 on aggregate. Potter's stock was high and he headed for Swansea wand Wake became part of Potter's successor, Ian Burchnall's, backroom staff at Ostersunds. But now, it seems the man with Middlesbrough FC in his heart is ready to break free and go solo at Home Park. At 36 and with experience at a novel club like Ostersunds, Wake certainly ticks many of the boxes that chairman Simon Hallett and his board seem to be looking for in a new manager. “We want somebody who is forward-thinking, so a kind of modern football manager, not the old school kick the players until they work harder," is what Hallett told Plymouth Live earlier this month. Ostersunds are novel in the sense that they have successfully taken players in from across Europe, especially England, and blended them with homegrown players to create a different, but successful that is challenging at the top end of Sweden's top flight. Andrew Mills, Curtis Edwards, Jerrell Sellars Charlie Colkett and Jamie Hopcutt are the current Englishman earning a living at the club, but arguably the biggest name is the troubled Ravel Morrison, the former Manchester United once called the 'best in the world' by Sir Alex Ferguson. Morrison look destined for a stellar career in football before outside influences saw his development go down the wrong path, but away from the limelight, he is enjoying his football once more in Scandanavian backwaters. Head coach Burchnall told the Independent in a recent interview that hundreds of players are contacting him and Ostersunds, aware of the progress they are making as a club by giving rejected English players a chance in the game, so one thing in Wake's favour would no doubt be that direct link to his current boss and a significant contacts book. in another interview with the BBC , Burchnall spoke of how blossoming coaches like him and Wake just don't get the chance to succeed in the English game with clubs reticent to give them an opportunity. Maybe Argyle will take that chance on Wake. |
