| Skipper Gary Sawyer has promised he and his Plymouth Argyle team-mates will do their utmost for the club as they fight for League One survival over the final two games of the season.
The 33-year-old left-back insisted everyone was pulling in the same direction and playing for the badge.
Argyle are one position and a point above the drop zone going into their penultimate game of the season, away to Accrington Stanley on Saturday.
The Pilgrims will then meet relegation rivals Scunthorpe United at Home Park on May 4.
It promises to be a very tense conclusion to the campaign, with pressure on the Argyle squad to deliver the goods.
Sawyer said: “That’s what we have got to deal with That’s what the boys have got to get their heads around and work towards now.
“Everything else before this, that’s done. It is what it is now, and we have got two cup finals (to play).”
Argyle sank deeper into relegation trouble by losing both of their games over Easter – 3-1 at Gillingham and 3-0 to Barnsley at Home Park.
Sawyer said: “It’s not just Easter, there is many a game where you look back and think ‘We could have made everything easier.’
“One more win in the bad run that we were having at the start (of the season).
“Everything like that, you can go through it and dissect the whole season, but this is what we have got left.
“We have got two massive games and it’s something that we are ready to go for.”
Sawyer started his career at Argyle and returned to Home Park in 2015 after a five-year spell away.
He has now made more than 250 appearances for the club in his two stints so brings a lot of experience to his role as captain.
Sawyer said: “I try and do that. I think it’s important for the older boys, the more experienced players, to do that.
“That’s what I will be doing again, along with likes of Foxy (David Fox), Tayls (Ryan Taylor), G (Graham Carey), Sarce (Antoni Sarcevic).
“Everyone is pulling in the same direction and we are all going for the same prize at the end of this.”
He continued: “This is for the club. It has got nothing to do with individuals.
It’s just to do with the club and the badge you play for. That’s what everyone has to keep in mind and work for.
“You should have a pride about who you are playing for. Everyone enjoys it down here.
“I consider this my club. When I left here, it was the first score I checked for after games, and it will continue to be if I move on.
“When I finish my career, this will be the club that I come and watch football at, so to be part of it is important for me.”
The pressure is on Argyle to retain their League One status which they worked hard so achieve with promotion from League Two in 2016/17.
Sawyer said: “It’s not an easy thing to deal with, but everyone in football would have dealt with it at some point.
Obviously, the young boys not as much. The older boys a bit more.
“It’s something that is hard to deal with. There is no easy way round it, but you have to draw on your experiences from previous games and use that to your benefit.
“It’s a privileged position to have pressure because it means you care about what you are doing.”
Argyle are sure to have a good number of fans at Accrington, while thousands and thousands of others will be rooting for the team from afar.
Sawyer said: “That helps everything. We are going to try everything we can to get this over the line.
“I’m sure the fans will help us with that, which they always do. We need to put the performances in for the last two games and go from there – it’s in our hands.”
Accrington took a massive step towards securing their League One survival with a 2-1 win at Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday.
Sawyer, though, does not believe that will have any impact on the game on saturday.
He said: “At the end of the day, we have got two games left and if we win them both we know we are safe.
“I don’t think it really makes any odds that they won their last game.
“They are still going to want points to be able to cement themselves to be safe. We need points to do the same thing.
“That’s the truth of it and we have got to work with that.” |

| Could be interesting if argyle don't win as the players entrance is spitting distance from the away terrace. |

| Heading off to Accrington in a bit. Apparently they do a '£2 a pint' deal before kick off, so might need to get a few early beers in so I can stomach watching this current Argyle side.
Just get the feeling that our players don't have the fight in them any more. Stanley will almost certainly be safe with a draw, so maybe 1v1?! |

| Massive game today. I feel we'll nick a very shitty 1-0 and then lose next week. |

| It will be another Wembley. Players will simply not turn up again. Miserable afternoon for the poor saps travelling all that way. |

| Just spoke to mother and explained position we're in. The defeat simply has to be avoided at all costs but are we capable even of that. Wouldn't be overly surprised though that we win and win well at that today |

| Nothing would surprise me today.
If we don't match or better the Southend result though we've almost certainly had it. |

If we don't match or better the Southend result though we've almost certainly had it. That is the critical one and the one that may save us. I wouldn't be surprised if no one in the bottom five won any of their last two games. Feckin sad when that remains our main hope. |

Stanley will almost certainly be safe with a draw, so maybe 1v1?! one free dink for you What a great gesture by Accrington towards the 600 travelling members of the Green Army. Their chairman/owner Andy Holt has tweeted the details. Andyh @AndyhHolt Have a drink on us. It’s a long trek from @Only1Argyle so for the expected 600 or so, hand your ticket in at the bars and you will get a free cold drink. Beer, pop, water etc. Regardless of the result today we wish you all the best. Club will put details out soon. |

| Team news is not good
Calamity Twats in goal, We're fecked.
Kyle Letheren is ruled out by injury and has not travelled to the north west of England. It means former Accrington loan signing Matt Macey will be the Argyle ‘keeper.
And, with the pitch being so muddy, Jamie Ness has been preferred to Ruben Lameiras in the starting line-up.
Top scorer Freddie Ladapo is back from injury but only on the substitutes’ bench as Ryan Taylor leads the attack.
Argyle: Matt Macey; Oscar Threlkeld, Ryan Edwards, Lloyd Jones, Gary Sawyer; Yann Songo’o; Antoni Sarcevic, David Fox, Jamie Ness, Graham Carey; Ryan Taylor.
Substitutes: Ruben Lameiras, Paul Anderson, Niall Canavan, Freddie Ladapo, Oscar Threlkeld, Ashley Smith-Brown, Mike Cooper |
