Well he might be, but the fact Adam’s has said nothing at all even after imposing the Sunday deadline suggests to me that he’s still hopeful, he’s the type who would have come right out and stated the deals dead.
All will be revealed tomorrow.

That the fact thats it's nearly Thursday suggests to me that the deal is dead.

And most obviously if we were going seriously for Mason we wouldn't say jack shit about it.

Not sure what all the fuss is about, his playing record over the least few seasons is not good, in this case I don’t think we’ve missed out on too much.

If its worth gambling on every other injury prone player in the lower leagues I'd deffo have a punt on Mason. The fact that we haven't signed him would suggest to me that he's not completely fooked or he'd be a shoe in here.

Other options? He does realise that the transfer window finished a fortnight back. It's either all those other free agents clamouring for team places or a kid coming through the youth ready to burst out.

Might just as well have said we'd put in an offer for Eden Hazard  for all chance it had of coming to anything.

It was nothing more than a PR stunt that the club stupidly thought would blindside fans into thinking we are ambitious and trying. It failed badly.

Fact remains we have cheapskates on the board who refuse to invest into the football side of the club and we continue to be punching above our weight as a result. This PR stunt has only gone and highlighted this more so.

Joe Mason was just a pawn in this game you cant blame the lad for turning down a joke of an offer to consider a team in the lower league instead. If it wasnt him it would have been someone else.

Net result is that if we can’t tempt a former player, a Plymothian, who’s career has nosedived to come and join us, it just hammers home our perpetual Village-ness.
