Plymouth Argyle have not had any inquiries about Graham Carey from other clubs, manager Derek Adams has confirmed.
With the January transfer window about to open, there has been speculation on social media about Carey moving to high-flying League One rivals Luton Town.
However, Adams told Plymouth Live: “There’s no inquiries from any clubs for Graham.”
Argyle do not confirm the length of contracts given out to players but it is thought Carey’s current deal runs out this summer.
Carey, 29, has continued to be a regular for the Pilgrims this term but he has not hit the same heights as in the previous three campaigns.
He came up with the assist for the equaliser from Ruben Lameiras when Argyle drew 1-1 away to Burton Albion on Saturday.
His break into the box was followed by a cross which was finished off by Lameiras.
However, Carey was taken off later in the second half, with first-year professional Luke Jephcott replacing him for tactical reasons.
Adams said: “We took him off because we were concerned about the full-back for Burton (Ben Fox) getting forward.
“He did get forward twice and put in some decent crosses into the box, so we put Luke Jephcott on.
“He can do that job going backwards but also he might have been able to run off the right-back.”
Meanwhile, Adams is working away behind the scenes at trying to strengthen his squad during the transfer window.
With the Pilgrims at the bottom of League One, a number of changes are expected to his playing staff over the next month.
Adams said: “As all clubs are at this moment in time, we are working hard to take in players over the transfer window.
“Some people go quickly and get deals done, if they can get agreements with clubs.
“Others have to wait off until other clubs decide what they are doing,” added the Pilgrims’ boss.
