Word is he was on board with 2 directors all dead, son and family were luckily not onboard..thoughts with families involved.

Terrible tragedy. RIP.

Pretty shocking film on SSN,absolute inferno and you can't honestly see anyone surviving that-terrible scenes.I remember being on a course at the Empress state building in London which overlooked Stamford Bridge and news coming through that Matthew Harding,who was a major investor at Chelsea, had been killed when his helicopter crashed on the way back from a game-seems as though lightning can indeed strike twice.

Thoughts go out to those involved and their families.

Gutted what a horrible way to die for like you say one of the decent ones, that actually did get it.

Leicester is a proper decent city, often gets forgotten about being overshadowed by Nottingham and Birmingham as midland cities but it’s one where different cultures do manage to click along nicely

he was the kind of owner let alone foreign that any club who have loved to have i know i would have loved him here, a real businessman who had a genuine passion to see Leicester City and Oud-Heverlee Leuven the other club he owned (whom hired nigel pearson) do well matched by his investment not just to bring success in the present but sustainable to grow in the future aswell. Not to mention an approachable rapport with fans and a supporter of the local community causes his lost will hit much harder for leicester city fans not just for footballing and humanity reasons but the city of Leicester and the surrounding areas. he seemed like a dream come true.

RIP All victims of this accident.

Very sad to see a genuine owner of a football club pass away.

A truly grisly way to go. I believe his son was Vice Chairman, so in time he may well pick up the reins.

Devastating for him to lose his Dad and sister this way though.

Its now confirmed his daughter however wasnt on board
