Not really angry

The events field and  sports plateau are being upgraded

The sports plateau

The rugby pitch on the plateau of Central Park will  be regraded and two junior pitches and an artificial cricket wicket will be added all with a  drainage system.

The events field

The improvements will provide new and improved drainage and a grass paving surface which allows grass to grow through as well as withstand the weight of heavy vehicles this will prevent the site from flooding or damage from heavy vehicles and footfall, keeping it usable and presentable all year round.

Mains electricity and water points will also be installed to remove the need for noisy generators or water pipes that cross main paths.

The sports hub will be the old bowling green club house

Behind the the bowling green there will be  four new tennis courts  and new  junior football pitches. (This is where the life centre spoil was dumped)

The wider improvement plan of Central Park includes path upgrades,  a new café, new changing facilities and improvement to drainage across the park.

The cafe is being built on the site of the old toilets/changing rooms on the corner of the clock tower roundabout and there will be a new toilet facilities. (This is the only bit of green space that is being use for a building which I said in the old day there was a building there)

The skate park extension has been finished

Central Park's new play area is finally open. New equipment includes double zip wire, trampolines, hammocks and a low ropes course.

The "bigger and better" park, which was closed throughout the summer, has been redesigned based on a birds, bees and butterflies theme.

An official opening party will be held on Saturday, October 20.
