What I can't get my head around is that the winds of change off the pitch are a changing so why diss Brent and the collaborators for years to do an about turn and return to the fold? It's taken a strong heart to keep up the fight for this long, even my lads and mates sometimes think I'm off my head with my stance - poor show!!

Forums are like houses in real life, some people move house because they don't like where they live then move back realising they like the neighbourhood less where they moved to. I always had Beeb down as a Farmer.

Only a matter of time before he obtains a "position" on the Farm

Ah I was unaware of the full facts regarding this BBC1 bloke and the photo with IJN and I thought some of you were a bit over the top with some comments but now I understand more about the situation I agree with you all that he's a proper cnut

Only problem with these figures is they are Pie in The Sky, until someone is willing and able to prove these numbers as bona fide legit.

I’m just glad I don’t socialise with people like that in real life.

I agree. If you " know" Something Harve, you must have been supplied proof. Show us that proof, otherwise these figures are nothing more than gossip.
As it stands, you're suggesting SH made 100 million last year but he's too tight to spring for a roof without pillars. Pun intended.

No room back here foreshore.
One thing I am perplexed about........BBC1 was driven to a very traumatic time in his life due to the loan that the Plymouth Argyle Supporters Training and Development Trust made to the club on the eve of the club’s administration. The loan was for £330k and the Charity Commission ruled against the trustees because they had conflicted interests. In essence the loan was made to prop up the club but all ten of the trustees (BBC1 included) were season ticket holders and six were shareholders in the very vehicle they were propping up with a loan.
I have no doubt the Trustees were good loyal supporters who were hoodwinked and thought they were doing their best, however in light of the Charity Commissions ruling Brent could have reassured them immediately by paying the debt off in full and immediately. He didn’t, which led to a consistent worry that the individual Trustees could have been liable personally for the debt. That caused BBC1 a personal trauma which is on public record.
He now decides to dine with the man who has backed, without question, the man who caused this stress to BBC1 and his family.
Brent though wasnt a party to the loan though? Fair play that he paid money to cover it.

Presumably all the speculation in this thread means that the Reluctant Bidder's much-heralded era of openness and transparency doesn't extend to keeping you lot regularly informed of the progress of the works, any unforeseen issues etc?
If so, this is perhaps not the kindest time to mention that I received constant emails with photographs & links to videos, keeping me informed of a host of aspects of our improvements, including progress to date, what was being done and why, projected dates of different stages of the project - to the extent that I only half-bothered to read them after a while.
I recall Newell tweeting our fans, regurgitating Chris Errington's blatant distortion of Reid's comment about being supposedly relieved to get away from us, when the FGR site had published the full quote for all to see, making it clear that he was actually expressing relief that the transfer went smoothly, as they can often hit glitches.
According to Newell the misleadingly edited quote was proof that "your owners are ripping you off" - presumably by investing part of the profits made from our cup draws and transfer receipts into paying our record fee and high wages for Stockley and improving the squad - not to mention managing to complete our stadium redevelopment on time and without incurring debt, when our previous private owners nearly caused the club to fold in their attempt.
Considering what is going on at HP, is Newell on drugs, or simply worse at recognising irony than Alanis Morrissette?

Didn't he promise it would be "before the Portsmouth game"?
Unless he's expecting another charge up the table and meeting Portsmouth in the Championship next year, he'd better get a move on.

Sadly Nool and the Gang and their sort are what is keeping the whole country shit not just the clubs they support. Not very clever and happy to wear blinkers they vote by habit safe in the fact that it could always be worse and there's always been winners and losers and all the millionaires work hard for their money as well. Nool obviously has a memory equivalent to a small shrew or Lemming, this allied to his ability to delete not only what he says but all the other fucktards that inhabit his world make him think that he gets away with it. He should take drugs, lots of them.

i think it was one of them ones where he had to pay it otherwise the club would have been sued left right & centre which would have stopped jimmys shenanigans let’s have it right it wernt payed out the goodness of his heart.. remember he didn’t even want to pay the St. John’s ambulance there pittance did he

More like the admniistrators act on behalf of the the owners, and the then owners asked for that trust's money when it was almost certainly admin to follow. You're right Reg, nothing to do with Brent's "largesse", I paid the St John Ambulance more than brent did. Stapleton et al would probably have been sued or worse, charged with some sort of fraud. There was no choice but to insist the debt had to be honoured. What is incredible, it took years to pay it off. Brent should never have got the gig.

I might suggest Bungo takes a short drive to the old Belgrave cinema/snooker location where a proper construction crew armed with planning permissions cobble bricks together in the time honoured fashion Last week they poured in all the concrete foundations Today just counted 18 guys on small site plus 2 JCB's going hell for leather building
As opposed to Bungo's outfit operating a site at least twenty times as large with 5 blokes a wrecking ball and a hamster called Doris
