For the last time nobody is defending Robinson, you started this by suggesting that the word Muslim was irrelevant to this debate and it isn't.

I merely pointed out that it wasn't only Muslim rapists that concerned me.

The fact that this lot of rapists (as we can now say safely and legally but which "Robinson" could not because it was sub judice at the time, they were not yet convicted and so were entitled to the presumption of innocence under English law) are Muslims is central to everything because "Robinson" is not interested in rape or its repercussions or prevention or the victims or anything else: he is solely interested in and devoted to whipping up hatred against Muslims any way he can.

BBC have just reported on it on their rolling news as to why they hadnt reported on it at the time

The response was simple. "The judge had ordered a complete media black out over the trial and the BBC along with other corporations will not risk contempt of court and defy it. As such as soon as the blackout was lifted we reported on it"

No conspiracy but 300,000 have signed an online petition urging his release. I suspect 299,000 have not actually bothered to read and grasp why he was arrested and subsequently jailed in the first place

I don't read the comments like that at all, Les. No idea what has been going on with the Blue Robbo bully boys, being a tv free household and news/propaganda averse in such tawdry matters.
But I assumed Frank's drift was these people want the rule of an independent Westminster government and associated sovereign laws, but then complain when those very laws kick their sort into touch. It wasn't Brussels putting their man behind bars, just plain old English law, that's been around for a very looooong time, rightly or wrongly. A lot more of that to come I would imagine.
For those of their number that are ardent fans of the Eu, perhaps they should appeal to the European court of Justice/human rights/supreme court, or whatever it is called, while they still have the chance.

Nah the inference was there. Make the inference that everybody that voted Brexit is racist, make the inference that they are stupid ect ect. It's a kind of campaign.

Actually I quite like the irony of the stupid Brexiteers, a majority being treated like a minority.

I'm not an absolutist with straight majorities, as that's only half the story. I believe one of the best of tenets of democracy is it's affordance to treat the views of minorities with equal care.
And what about the REAL majority of people in this country that didn't vote at all...ie.... me. Who is speaking for me, or am I a non person because my "none of the above" doesn't count ? But I vote with my feet every day of my life. Many statisticians in their oh so infinite wisdom would say a non vote is probably a vote for the status quo in any matter.

I'm afraid the non voting majority don't get counted, well they do get counted but then don't count. Anyway I thought the turnout was about 70% so the majority did vote. Good old statistics eh?
