Full of holes which a half decent solicitor would've easily contested, hence the need for outdated draconian measures. From wrongfully arrested (alleged breach of the peace) to jail (alleged contempt of court) all within an hour or so with full on gagging orders makes a complete mockery of our once proud judicial system. The precedent has been set now, enjoy it.

The moral of this story is never upset the new age Liberal, vicious bastards to a gender neutral person.

This country has abused the "law" for centuries, no reason for it not to be doing so these days. We had a head of state who was a serial mass murderer cutting womens' heads off. He was previously found guilty of contempt of court and given a suspended sentence. The judge made it very clear what would happen if he repeated the offence (I read the full transcript of that case, but can't find it and cba to look for it, since those who don't want to know won't be arsed to read it). On Friday he repeated the offence at another trial, including trying to film the defendants and thus putting the whole trial at risk. He was probably taken before the judge immediately, and the suspended sentence was activated along with a further sentence for the second offence. That's how contempt of court works: there have even been cases where jurors and witnesses have been sent to prison for it in the middle of a trial.

Reporting restrictions were imposed to safeguard the remainder of the trial he was trying to disrupt. They've now been lifted, presumably because the trial has concluded.

So. No conspiracy, and hopefully an end to attempts to make a martyr of the odious fascist thug. (And if he's a 'journalist' then I qualify for Miss World, Strictly and the next Olympics.)

They might be worth a look then.
